The last game-SBU Gold to Gladsaxe and Silver to Bagsværd two local neighbour teams.! Division 1 group 2
BBK(1) 4 v 4 Frederiksund
Oktober
2nd Division 1 Group 2 U/9s 2000 autumn
Even Napoleon had one bad day (
Waterloo
1815). In the cold light of day and away from the intensity of the gladiator’s arena, it is quite clear to understand why we totally failed to function as a team in the first half, and to understand why we fought like samurai warriors in the second half to save the game.
Against my own advice “Trainer tips” in the menu of
www.footballcrazy.dk
, I ignored my own “Golden rule” of keeping instruction short and precise, simply because children’s attention span is not so good at this age.
I am guilty of filling their heads with too much detail before the game about what could happen here or there if this or that should or should not happen in this deciding game! No surprise they where shell shocked and 0 v 3 down at half time, with all that serious “Rubbish” talk from me.
The 2nd half, and my simplified and only instruction was to play the ball to each other and not to the opposition, and the rest will fall into place. After 5 minutes into the 2nd half and a nervous start we grew more in confidence and after 5 passes in a row for the first time in the game we scored one, two , three and then 4 goals. We dominated and won a draw in the 2nd half from a game that seemed lost in the 1st half.
I also lost control of my disposition of players and at one point having 3 mid-midfielders with no wingers. (The extra man – 8 players, on the field creates as many problems as it solves, no wonder several top teams decide not to use this new rule- including us from now on. If we can, not do it with seven players it’s because we are not good enough)
If we finish 2nd or 3rd after Gladsaxe Heros game against RB1906 I is now irrelevant, our boys have been fantastic in this the opening tournament of 7a-side football in Division 1(Række 1).
We dared to take the challenge up where other good teams, have surely started more carefully in the lower divisions. What awaits us in the spring 2009 should be very challenging. The boys have come a long way in a short time and grown much mentally and physically.
Now we can take the foot of the gas after one more little matter we need to address!

come and support us! (Revenge is not a word we should use …..But
there is always a time to play cards with the devil).
I would like to thank Frederiksund for a memorable game with real intensity and fair play. They proved they are also a very good team! We shall meet them again in the Chevrolet Cup winter tournament.
Last and not least Congratulations to Gladsaxe 1st and 2nd team SBU LeagueChampions.Autumn 2008.
What an opening season Bagsværd, well done everyone, have a very good autumn holiday and come back fresh and ready.
Yours sincerely Steven (A very proud trainer)
Gladsaxe Hero 10 v 5 RB1906 2 Oktober Division 1 Group 2 U/9,s Autumn 2008 CHAMPIONS Gladsaxe Hero ended all the speculation in this tightly fought division, to seal an emphatic victory against RB1906,in this goal rich football fiasco to become the first SBU Division1 Group 2 Champions and clear winners with 5 points over 2nd placed runners up Bagsværd after Bagsværd dropped two points in an epic duel and draw against Frederiksund 4 v 4, the evening before. If RB 1906 had won it would have been them who were celebrating being League Champions!Instead they were victim of a terrible scoreline not something one expects at this level,. Kharim , Gladsaxes special talent scored already twice in the first ten minutes, even though RB1906 missed 4 good chances in the first 10 minutes. If RB had continued the way they started it could have been a difficult night for Gladsaxe Hero, but RB 1906 fell back to pack their defence, This was an open invitation and it didn't stop Gladsaxes onslaught with with lots of easy goals. For a short period RB 1906 had a mini revival with 4 goals in a 15 minutes period well in to the second half, but the damage was well and truly done by then. In a twist of fate the two best teams in this division (Gladsaxe and Bagsværd) are very close neighbours with only two kilometres between each others home ground, and shall already meet each other again in the Dansk Bank Cup Final inside the 14,000 capacity Gladsaxe Stadion. Whilst Bagsværd seek payback for loosing the league to Gladsaxe Hero, Gladsaxe will be trying to consolidate this top place local dominance, against their biggest threat and new and future rivals Bagsværd. Man of the match: without a doubt this exceptional young talent Kharim for Gladsaxe.

Autumn 2008 round 6
The season is reaching boiling point, four teams have tracked each other step for step at the top whilst four teams at the bottom equally have their private battle.
After Fridays game on 26/9/08 between Gladsaxe Hero v Frederiksund there could be 4 teams on 15 points with one round left for each team, if Frederiksund beat Gladsaxe Hero (The only unbeaten side to date).
After this evenings game when Bagsværd beat unbeaten RB1906, we showed Frederiksund there is everything to play for against Gladsaxe Hero. Even should Gladsaxe Hero win over Frederiksund it becomes a three horse race to the line, with Gladsaxe Hero, s marginal goal difference possibly the decider between Gladsaxe, Bagsværd and RB1906, (should RB1906 bounce back and beat Gladsaxe Hero).
Complicated? Yes! It is, we could end up 1st or 4th on the
difference of a single goal at the right or wrong time. So fine are the details, that two scandalous decisions by RB1906 generos referee could decide it against us with goal difference deficit. RB1906 were awarded a penalty from 1.5 metres outside the box and a free kick on the very edge of our box from a tackle were no physical contact took place. It must be said that a sequence of refereeing mistakes in RB1906,s favour actually started with a single decision in our favour at the start of the game, but the referee more than made up for his generosity to us.
The boys where fantastic- even though on paper we where not at full strength. Our reorganised defence cut top side RB1906, s chances to an absolute minimum throughout the game. (Very much our focus area after the shambles in defence against Gladsaxe. where we give the game away).
Mads TL in his new role with Theis in defence as two quick backs, made some match winning tackles to keep RB1906 at a good distance from our goal.
Frederik Kaarda , for the second week in a row improved his game, and used Thomas Joes absence to stake a faster claim to the left wing, with a very good hatrick, and a barrage of very good crosses.
In our goal Simon F-J also showed good reflexes and the right attitude when it was necessary- even saving the unjustified penalty (first time)
An all round fantastic bounce back by our boys from the negative defence display last week.
Goals: Frederick Kaarda – hat trick – 3

Angus

Man of the match Mads T Lindstøm . (Mads,s twin Mathias also played a good part- on loan from the 2nd team.) We have another battle on our hands soon against Frederiksund, but we know now we can’t afford to think of home advantage, it doesn’t mean a thing specially after 3 long trips to Roskilde and Holbæk where we have taken all 9 points. Well done boys !

Række 1 pulje 2 Autumn 2008
This game was our first local rival decider that potentially could have been a classic encounter. Our boys and theirs give everything they could but the football was any thing but classic. Even though we made several defence errors of the same type and give away 4 goals and we played well under our best i still think we created the most chances and played the best football. However the various and different combinations of boys used in defence at different times throughout the game had a terrible time of finding out about marking an attacker who's only job was to goal hang in front of our goalkeeper. (In 11a-side football 4 of their goals would have been annulled) Unfortunately this tactic was very effective against us and on the evening we had no answer for it. (personally i prefer not to play this way because in the long run it is teaching the children the wrong thing and learning to play on-side will be so much more difficult for them in the future.) We can not however take away to Gladsaxes credit them getting back in defence behind the ball and getting their important tackles in, and there fore preventing more accuracy with our many shots on goal. It was a very frustrating game where we needed to be like a fine tuned engine firing on all cylinders and instead a combination misunderstandings and some disappointing under performances from some individuals (no names mentioned) who were disappointing on the day ,meant that we couldn,t get out of 2nd gear. The opposite could be said of Gladsaxesnumber 8 in midfield whose solo run and superb finish knocked the wind out of our sails after we came back from 1-3 down to equalize 3-3 only to see them take the lead again to 4-3 just as we were enjoying our strongest period. He also set up three other goals dribbling and passing to their goal scrounger. Better in defence was our marking from 3/4 hard low corners into the box. Once i moved Emil out of defence he went on to deserve from midfield Man of the match along with Frederik. The number 8 for Gladsaxe deserves a special mention for giving his team the big lift they get from his presence. Goals:Frederik Kaarde 1 Oliver Angus 2 We are not out of it and the season probably will not be decided until the last game, especially if we beat RB1906 and Gladsaxe drop points, which should be possible: This evening had nothing to do with Gladsaxe playing better football than us, but had more to do with we disappointed ourselves. No more missed training sessions! boys.(Its a bad habit creeping in, if we are to maintain the good standard we have set ourselves). It is obvious to see when i check back on the last 5 months e-mails their are some key players who regularly hop over every 3rd or 4th training,. The parents responsible have to ask is it acceptable if we are to compete at this high level ,. The competition in 2009 in "række 1" division 1 will have double as many good teams as this time. Today was our first real test at this level, and the margin between success and failure is the difference of 1 or 2 players under performing. Holbæk 1 v 5 BB(1) Division1 Group 2 U/9sAutumn 2008 round 4 After a long journey of 60 kilometeres to meet an opposition who appeared on the statistics of earlier results to be unlucky and tough to beat, i am happy to say it was not a wasted journey and we again come home with all 3 points. We started very well and very early in the game dominated Holbæk, but the ball after 15 minutes and 7/8 good attempts on goal would simply not go in the net. Then Holbæk from their only attack and a BBK(1) defence mistake stole the lead 1 v 0. Holbæk. Holbæk shortly after could have ruined our evening and our season with two other attacks that come from again sloppy defence errors. The midfield was however on top form and shortly after we equalised with a shot up in the top corner from Thomas Joe 1 v 1. BBK(1) That settled our neves ( not least my own). Shorly after we took the lead 1 v 2 BBK(1) and removed any hope Holbæk had of winning this game. BBK(1) controlled the rest of the game , and although we had to earn each goal we left Holbæk further behind with each goal. Oliver Angus with a solo run in the last minute give us our important 5th goal that put us back on the top of our league on the thinest of margins over Gladsaxe hero, with the most goals scored. Don,t miss this absolute crunch game in division 1 (række 1),BBK(1) v Gladsaxe Hero. If it lives up to expectations it should be a classic encounter between the regions two best teams in our year 2000 group. To add spice , we will probably meet each other in the Dansk bank Cup also. We have three very tough games ahead and everything to play for. Man of the match : Sigurd. Because until he came on the pitch in defence we seemed unstabil and he helped to put balance back and stability. Goals: Thomas Joe 2- Oliver Angus 2 - Emil Kristansen-1

BBK(1) 7 v 4 Vipperød BK Division 1 Group2 U/9,s Autumn 2008 round 3 The third round for BBK(1) was a nervous tense affair against a good ball playing Vipperød side, who surprisingly have no points on the score board. Four teams now have 9 points whilst four teams have none, this strange statistic does not reflect that there is very little difference between all the teams in quality just a matter of luck or lack of it. After another slow start we needed to claw our way back into this game, but each time i thought we were starting to dominate Vipperød popped up to score again to keep the tension hanging, we could not afford to slip up today as the other three teams with nine points all won this week, With a three goal win we secure first place on goal difference over the other leaders in the group, now these "easy games ?" are out of the way soon there will come a series of crunch games, were something has to give. Today we successfully put pressure back on to the other teams. The boys today fought well and needed to, there was not any one who didn't make mistakes today but the player who made the least was Oliver Angus to earn Man of the match. Goals : Oliver 2 - Thomas 2- Mads 2- Sigurd 1.

KFUM
3 v 9 BBK(1)
Division 1 Group 2 U/9s Autumn 2008 round 2
Our second game in the first division was an exercise in self discipline. To maintain our organisation and to prevent everyone rushing forward to get on the score sheet. Leading 1 v 4 at half time, I was not disappointed it took a further 15 minutes of the second half to score again.
Although KFUM never give up the fight and scored twice to make a mini revival possible, we contra played and scored another 5 goals.
We were good to pull back and maintain our defence and midfield dominance, important lessons for when we come up against better ball playing sides.
The midfield and right wing play continued were we left of last week against Viby. We discussed about moving the ball more over to the left side, and the boys listened, as our left wing also become more operative and effective.
In this autumn period I expect there will be many miss matches, in Divisions 1, 2, 3, and 4 until the spring of 2009, when teams will better be able to judge the standard of each other in this new to 7a-side football.
Goals
: Emil SK-2, Frederick K-2, Oliver A-2, Mads TL-3Hat trick. (Oliver claims Mads stole one of his goals on the line).
Man of the match
: split between Theis HS and Magnus JH (Defence)
KFUM should not give up hope they have some good individual players, but two heavy 9v3 defeats must make them early relagation candidates. We sit however good at the top of the table . (goal diffrence).

Trainers comments:
A
very hard fought fight where we showed great spirit to fight our way back into a game which could and should have been lost in the first half by a dominant Viby., Viby failed to finish us off because of an individual fantastic performance by our Goal keeper Simon Fris Jensen. Creative hard work on our right wing byThomas Joe helped to pin a tired Viby team back in to their own defence in the second half and an energetic Bagsværd midfield kept them there for a large part of the second half which most definitely had swung our way. The score was complimentary to us and 6 - 3 could easily have been 3 - 6, but no one can deny that we deserved to get something from this game. We started poor and ended the strongest, 3 points in the bag! Thank you Our first official 7a-side SBU game in division 1- well done boys. See you all on the training ground to discuss how we deck up better in our box.
Olivers part in the game:
Oliver was outstanding with Simon and Thomas Joe,. Two shots and an header hit the back of the net for Oliver and Bagsværd to give a great hatrick in our very first league game in the 1st Division. Hard work in midfield combined with Thomas Joes wing work and Simons saves give us a victory we will not have had otherwise. Man of the match Simon 9/10 Oliver 8/10 and
Thomas Joe 8/10
