William after 3 years loyal service to AB under 3 very diffrent trainers, decided that the last of the 3 trainers was not quite his cup of tea. AB,s present trainer over the last 6 months since his arrival has totally given the otherwise earlier very succesful AB team a huge blow with his axe after a very unstabil period, between the early and latest trainer, and used his powerful position and contacts to bring very many new "established" talented players in from the other big clubs. William survived the axe this time and remained a 1st team player until he decided himself to leave this AB team which was becoming increasingly difficult to recognise, with many new faces and a physical kick and rush football as the boys from diffrent clubs try to adjust to each other and to find a more attractive common traditional ground level football with good movement. William was getting less and less time on the field and we decided this was not helping his development. After a training game against top local rivals Lyngby which AB won 4 v 2 it was apparent that technically Lyngby were the equal of AB. That Lyngby hold to their footballing principles playing quick football at ground level with good movement was impressive, despite their overall lesser physical appearance and again were the equal of AB96 in their play. Although AB won the duel physically, it became clear to us that Lyngbys style suited a technically strong William who pound for pound is a match for most of the present AB players although smaller in height. Since his succesful trials for Lyngby which lasted over two weeks, William has been re-energised after the last two months of his time with AB,s present set up which was far from optimal for Williams personal development, although AB 96 as a team appear to be on the up and up in general terms. As expected with his speed and body strengh/ tackling he has started in as a wing back for Lyngby. (When William first started AB it was also as a back , but they quickly dicovered he is most effective going forward as a winger). As a defender i have no doubt William will be top class, but as his trainer for the first 5 years i know his strengh as an attacker. He was the top goal scorer for me in 11 out of 11 tournement rounds from midfield ... his day will come again eventually as an attacker. This is a fresh start for William , who accepts that his own attitude and enthusiasm was not at the top level were it should be if he wants success. William has been re-united with another of my early successes Frederik Stengården at left back. Their is something very cosy with this Lyngby side, we know all the players from teams we played against in Williams early years 2002/07 whilst i was his trainer at Bagsværd. The very best of the local talent. The training staff seem to be very competent. Lyngbys focus is very much on local talent development, with a common theme that runs throughout the club and not from trainer to trainer. The future looks bright as William over the next 2 years aproaches the junior age....
