Danske Bank Cup – Værløse 2009 Årgang 2000 A-Niv

Frederikssund 1 v 7 BBK (1)

This opposition we shall meet again in the SBU række 1 Pulje 1, has not had the best start this year

And have suffered some heavy defeats already in this league. Since the spring of 2008 when we played a 4 v 4 draw in the SBU Frederikssund have fallen in standard, whilst we have raised ours.

We were a class above Frederikssund today, and unless they have some hidden talent not on display today they will have an even tougher time ahead of them. A very lively BBK (1) side out played Frederikssund . To be fair Frederikssund improved as the tournament progressed.

Skoveshoved 1 v 3 BBK (1)

The last time we met Skoveshoved was in the final of the AB Cup at Whitsun (Pinser). At the time I was very impressed that they reached the final and give us such good opposition, especially when this KBU Union team only had played 5 a-side football and never before played 7 a-side.

After 6 months of training games at 7a-side football (The KBU Union still plays 5a-side) Skoveshoved again give us our best opposition today. The opening play was all Skovsehoved, s as they forced many errors from us and played the ball around well. Against the run of play we took the lead and increased it again, this settled our boys who quickly used this period of good luck to get back into the game and to be fair overtake it. The 3rd goal by Bagsværd was deserved as was the consolation goal to Skoveshoved 1 v 3 a good side with good talent.

Værløse 0 v 6 BBK (1)

The host team must have been disappointed, and I’m not sure what their final position was but they were in a very strong group and although they were named as Værløse 1 (Værløse 2 played in the B-group) they unfortunately could not offer too much resistance. Their heads went to easily down and their trainer done nothing positive to lift them up.

I suggest their trainer gives constructive critic/ instruction (ris og ros) instead of being angry because his team don’t live up to his expectations, it’s not their fault they are not trained well enough, Maybe he has been to optimistic to put them in the A – group

Farum 0 v 4 BBK (1)

A typical Farum team all very tall physically robust boys, except for one very little lively oriental boy, Farum seemed clumsy and un co-ordinated, another team like Frederikssund , who I expect must have some other secret players hidden from that we seen on display today. This team has moved into 2nd place in the SBU Række 1 group we are also in. Of course I don’t know what the trainer’s thoughts are and if this was his optimal set up…? If it was we have nothing to fear when we meet again in the SBU, next week. But it does not mean we will show a lack of respect when we meet Farum and Frederikssund again in the SBU. They will be treated with the same respect as Espergærde and Allerød. What they showed us today might be a trick.

The oriental trainer for Farum was also another hard critic of his own team, strange enough he was quiet when he played us almost as if he was expecting the worst to happen and he should learn to smile more.
I have just found out this Farum team is another of their many teams and leading their SBU Række 2 and not Række 1

(I can better understand now, why it was easier than i expected )

BSV Pantere 2 v 4 BBK (1)

The previous day we had won over BSV 4 v 5 BBK (1) in the SBU. This had been a very tough and quite equal game, so it came as no surprise that it would come down to them and us to fight it out for 1st and 2nd place in our group.

BSV had created two teams from the team we played in the SBU. The BSV Pantere played in our group whilst The BSV Pumas had qualified in Group B to play the winner from our group.

Both teams had been supplemented by more talent from their large 90 boys playing group from the year 2000 in BSV. I presumed that each BSV team was equally strong.

We came well from the start and had a good duel with BSV Pantere , but again it ended as a comfortable win, although BSV give us a fight it was not in any way at the same intensity level of the earlier SBU game the evening before,.

Semi – Finalen

Danske Banke Cup – Værløse 2009

As group 1 winners we would play against the nr 2 from group B. For the 3rd time in 2 days we would meet another BSV team the “Pumas”.

At the same time the BSV team the “Pantere” would play group B winners Nivå Kokkerdal, so it was not impossible to see that we could again meet BSV “Pantere” in the Final for not less than 4 times in competition in two days.

BSV “Pumas” 1 v 7  BBK (1)

Content that my team had been sensibly used through out this long day, to reach this stage, I made it clear to the boys we had not won anything until now. Despite 5 straight wins we could still go home empty handed.

The boys responded fantastic and from the start we were on to them although the first few minutes, were a little clumsy we soon smashed the ball in to the net. We totally dominated the game and by the end of the 1st half the game was effectively over with a 0 v 6 BBK(1) lead. For the whole of the 2nd half a desperate BSV trainer asked if it was OK to have the extra man on the pitch after a 3 goal lead, with a six goal lead he needed 2 extra players. We sat back in defence and let their 9 players attack our 7 players. We absorbed nearly all they could give and even scored on a counter attack. BSV Pumas managed a consolation goal, and we had easily won a place in the final.

We clarified the rules for the Final with the referee, no extra players are allowed on the pitch these are not SBU rules, and this is an A- group level game.

FINALEN

BSV “ Pantere” 0 v 4 BBK(1)

Yes as predicted we would meet BSV again for the record 4th time in 2 days. BSV had a comfortable win of 2 v 0 over B-group winners Nivå Kokkerdal. BSV “Pantere” would therefore have a 2nd chance to avenge the last two days and take the first prize.

Bagsværd BBK(1) however had other plans and again took the game to BSV “Pantere”. This time the “Pantere” with all their talent could not hold to the tempo we set and one class goal after another took them apart as we thumped the ball crashing into BSV, s goal Panthers or Pumas

(Take your choice)!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

The Tournament player was Thomas J, who was strong in all the games
and as usual caused constant problems for the opposition on the wing, with his fantastic dribbling skills.

Lokal Bank Cup 2009 Champions

Årgang 2000 A-pulje

After a long summer break and the season ready to start, today was another step in the preparation towards that end. After a successful KB Cup weekend last week in a year group over our selves, today we were back in a year 2000 competition the Local Bank Cup, hosted by Stenløse.

BK Avarta 1 v 1 BBK(1)

The positive with this game was that we continued our good passing play that we showed in the KB Cup , but the negative was we lacked fire power in front of goal and used up many good chances to

Score a single goal, at the same time we allowed a not to strong BK Avarta team to steal a goal from a free kick and to share the points. The game reminded me very much of the opening game against Jægerborg in the KB Cup last week.

Emils well earned left foot goal late in the game proved to be a very good goal for us as the day proceeded.

Man of The Match…….  Emil

Københavns Boldklub 1 v 8 BBK (1)

After a slow start against BK Avarta and a team talk focused on finishing our chances when they come, and suddenly our training in the middle of the week came in to full swing and we suddenly started to score one goal after another. We again failed to defend a free kick (something to work on), otherwise this “young KB side” had very little chance against a Bagsværd team who started to look like the side we know they can be. As in the first game several players played in unfamiliar positions and every one done rather well.

Man Of The Match……. Mads

Stenløse 1 v 5  BBK (1)

We again had most of the play, but we seemed to have fallen back to that level we played at in the first game, not taking our chances and allowing the opposition a way back in to a game after we eventually had taken the lead, it was a little bit frustrating.

However after another team talk at half time (2 minutes) we came out fired up and rediscovered the good momentum from the KB game and scored another 4 goals to ensure a “play of final” against Jyllinger.

Man Of The Match….. Magnus

Jyllinger 1 v 3 BBK (1)

Jyllinger with 3 wins already only needed a draw to lift the Local Bank Cup. This very good side had beaten us once at a Top Denmark Hallen winter competition 2 v 1 and both teams were very evenly matched at that time. It looked like it would be a tough game to win.

A dream goal from a long distance free kick , give BBK (1) the perfect start, and Jyllinger thereafter had a difficult time to get back in to the game, however they managed to equalise even though Bagsværd seemed to have control at that point.

Jyllingers celebrations were short lived as Thomas Joe finished them of with two goals to earn a well earned victory and therefore BBK (1) became the Local bank Cup winners 2009.

Man Of The Match…… Magnus

Trainers Comment:

The last two weekends have been constructive in our preparations and have enabled me to try new positions and new players as the players return from a long summer and has also given them a chance to get familiar with each other again.

Winning a trophy along the way has been a bonus for the boy’s confidence and a great start for our season.
We need to enjoy these cup competitions as the SBU tournement without a regular goalkeeper might prove to be a tough time for us this year.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS

AB Cup 2009 Pinse Cup Winners BBK(1)

                                AB Cup 2009 A-Pulje
BAGSVÆRD BBK(1) ARE THE CHAMPIONS

A prestige tournament organised by our big brother neighbour club AB, that we nearly decided to give up early and go home from early. With some teams pulling out at the 11th hour the organising and re-organising was close to being a total fiasco for our year group 2000. Lucky for us we had Britt (Simon’s mother) who with some cool handling and co-ordination with possibly the only other person with any organisation sense in AB, was able to work out a modified "new" program that saved the day for everyone involved. In fact after Simons mother stepped in everything worked like a Swiss watch. (Tusind tak Britt).
If I remember correctly, last year, Britt also made sure that all the boys received trophies, medals and T-shirts for our team who ended in 5th place last year. (They were meant only for the gold, silver and bronze winners)
Now we had some tough games in front of us which we really wanted to play, not least of all, we had a chance to play against our SBU rivals Allerød who stole all point from us in the league with the last kick of the ball. Allerød will also possibly end the SBU division 1 group 1 as Champions because of that last kick of the ball. With two teams in this AB Cup A-Pulje we would meet firstly Allerød 2. (Allerød also have 2 teams in the SBU division 1 groups).
It was of no consequence if they called themselves Allerød 1 or 2 as we would come to meet both of their teams in this Cup tournament.
We would also meet  Espergærde (again). Who until three weeks ago had not been beaten by anyone in 22 games, but then they met Bagsværd in the SBU and lost that record. Then again we met them at Nørhalne and if they hoped to revenge us there, they would have to wait again as we easily controlled that game also, against a very tired Espergærde although we won only by 1 v 0 we had beaten them again.
(Mon ikke hvis de ikke er træt af den navn Bagværd).
Moral appears to have fallen with these results as they unexpectedly lost the evening before to BSV). Could they bounce back!
Allerød 1 would also like to keep us in our place, under them as in the SBU league division 1 group 1 could they do it?
Skoveshoved an unknown quantity to me in this year group seemed to have done unexpectedly well in their preliminary group and could be the team to steal the AB Cup from all the other more well known teams.

Allerød(2) 1 v 3 BBK(1)
Good pressure and good play by us and a terrible goalkeeper fumble by Allerøds, otherwise brilliant goalkeeper and we took a first half lead, after Thomas Curtis tapped the ball into the net from a gift wrapped goalkeeper drop.
After this it was one way traffic towards Allerøds goal, but it was a nightmare unfolding before my eyes as we burned one chance after another and another.
Allerøds goalkeeper took everything we could throw at him. You can guess what happened next? One strong run unchallenged and suddenly it was 1 v 1 as Allerød pulled a magic rabbit out of the hat.
The whole of the second half continued in the same manner, and when I seen the referee reach for his whistle I could not believe we would have to share the points. But he changed his mind, he had not blown full time,. Thirty seconds later and Thomas Curtis placed a good hard shot into the long corner and the well earned victory was home. Unbelievably before the referee whistled we had the ball in Allerød (2) s net again, as Thomas Joe set his sights correctly on the goal this time, after missing a double hat trick of chances throughout the game. These children are trying to give me a heart attack. Result 1 v 3
Man of the matchThomas Curtis (For finding the net twice)

Espergærde 0 v 1 BBK(1)
Espergærde came after us with all guns blazing determined to wipe us of the face of the earth, and in the initial opening play we nearly lost our nerve as we were pressed back under Espergærde tornado start. BBK(1) managed to slowly but surely get a foot hold in the game. We came back so well that by the time Oliver Angus planted the ball firmly into the long corner from right to left and 20 metres out, no one could deny we earned it.
It was visually clear now that Espergærde, s tornado had fizzled out to a light breeze, (prudt) they suddenly looked like an ordinary team with a mini confidence crisis to sort out.
Espergærde offered only one more dangerous attack in the 2nd half that Simon saved to ensure we had our well deserved victory. Another win by only a single goal was a little bit compliments to Espergærde.
Although Espergærdes trainer commented that he thought we "played better in the SBU than here today", I am satisfied that we deserved this 3rd victory in 3 weeks over them. We are not facing any confidence crisis. Result 0 v 1
BBK(1)
Man of the Match
Simon (For his save in the 2nd half)

Allerød (1) 0 v 4 BBK(1)
Allerød(1) possibly SBU division 1 group 1 Champions spring 2009, never had a chance in this game as BBK(1) played possibly their best game in a year. It was as if all the instructions I have drilled in to the defence and midfield about their relation to each other, who should  mark who, and when they should hand over that responsibility  to another (Zone opdækkning) fell in to place,. With the players I had here today. (Two other of my regular defence players were not here today) the other 2 regulars Magnus and Mads, working with the sweeper Emil and Thomas Joe, Thomas Curtis and Oliver over midfield and Frederik in attack were superb today.
From the start and 5 seconds into the game Oliver slipped the ball to Thomas Curtis who had already moved forwards, a little dribble, adjustment and well placed shot and Allerød (1) were already looking at defeat. The next well deserved goal came from a hard working Oliver Angus who turned and shot at a running ball with his left foot, it surprised the Allerød (1) goalkeeper and crept in over the goal line. Oliver now put the game out of Allerød (1) s reach with a second goal to 0 v 3. Oliver was not finished yet as another good shot was palmed away only to fall to a needle sharp Thomas Curtis who followed up after and hit the rebound in over the line from 1 metre.
Result 0 v 4 BBK (1)
The remainder of the game was pure showmanship from Bagsværd who played cat and mouse with a totally outclassed Allerød (1).
Allerøds leaders must be scratching their heads and wondering how they beat us in the SBU league (I am)....
(I,m playing to the home audience here Allerød ... well done on your success in the SBU)
Man of the Match : Magnus (For his more calm control over his own play)

Skoveshoved 1 v 2 BBK (1)
Only one team stood in our way to lift the A- Pulje AB Cup 2009.
Skoveshoved a team we have not met in any competitions (That I can remember) were an unknown quantity to me in this year 2000 group. Although I know the club as a technically good ball playing club especially with the year 96 teams I encounter.
It was a pleasure to see that our earlier very good play against Allerød was not just a one off game as we continued the very good zone marking in to this game. We however didn’t get such any early goal as in the last game, but our sharp wing player Thomas Curtis was today’s tournament player with another pair of good goals to give himself a total of 5 goals in 4 games.
Skovshoved were rare visitors in our goal area but kept the excitement and tension all the way to the Final whistle, especially after scoring from a penalty as Oliver made a full power tackle in our goal area.
Skoveshoved had more to offer than Allerød (1) but were again relatively easily kept under control, but at 1 v 2 they always had a chance. There was tension to the last, and I accepted that Skoveshoved and us should meet again for a trainings game, as they feel themselves they were up with the play.
Man of the Match : Mads (For his fighter spirit over a longer period)
Now we could lift the trophy and listen to a bit of my favourite music played in front of the club house podium, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS by Freddy. The boys celebrated their medals, glass tankards, and winner AB Cup T-shirts.
I was delighted for the boys to end our spring 2009 season on such a positive note and for them to get a reward and recognition for the very good team they are.
                     Well
done boys .

CHEVROLET CUP -
2009
ESPERGÆRDE 5v4 BAGSVÆRD BBK(1)

It is a measure of how good we can be on the day when with justice we can say that today the best team lost.(Joseph Marinio) Our opposition ended 2008 in second place to Greve as Sjællands master on goal difference.
Undefeated Espergærde continued their undefeated run through out the Chevrolet Cup in their group beating all opposition easily to give them a goal difference of 54 v 9.
Today was as honourable a defeat as it could possibly be. Five goals were scored against us, so we can not complain that they won the Chevrolet Cup 2009. I could of course mention the string of bad luck that plagued us through out the first half.

1st Half: Espergærdes opening play with a speculative long shot, nearly caught Simon of guard,. Simon saved it, but smashed his head in to the goal post and suffered a cut under his chin a centimetre long but deep. Less than 1 minute after getting back on his feet the ball was in the back of our net as our team still stood ball watching after the long interrupt. 1 v 0 Esp. Five minutes later and everyone including myself expected the referee to blow for a free kick to Espergærde just outside our box,. Unfortunately because of Emil’s, sense of fair play, Emil  stopped to check that the injured player was ok, Esp continued to play the whistle and seconds later we were behind 2 v 0 Esp. This was an important lesson to our boys, to play to the whistle. ! (Or kick the ball out of play).

After this nightmare start, we really rallied and played some absolutely beautiful football.

We hit the bar and post twice each, we shot over, around, and across the goal, the goal keeper was bombarded with miss hits and full power and half power shots and headers. The law of averages says eventually the ball must find the net and at last it happened., If ever a goal was hard earned it was this one.

Oliver scored from the right side to send it over Esps goalkeeper in to the long corner. 2 v 1 Esp.

Just as bad as the first half started, so ended it, in the same fashion,.Two very good counter attacks  hit us right on half time 4 v 1 Esp. Any neutral observer must surely think it was us that lead 1 v 4. It is was clear to see why Esp have such a large goal difference with some determined and often desperate defending., In the first half except for a double spectacular save from Simon they didn’t miss what few chances they had.

2nd Half: What can a trainer say in a situation such as this your team is 4 v 1 behind and playing very very well! “Put the ball in the fuc¤/*;?%g net boys! and continue as you have in the first half.” (We agreed before the game with Espergærde, that even if one team was behind 3 goals, that the other would not use the extra player allowed ... we held to that agreement).

At this point I would like to say that our team tactic to pressure them constantly to stop them from getting into a good rhythm was impressive.  Everyone fought hard, and the very few times we did,t press them, we were heavily punished. Ten minutes into the second half and more combination play by Bagsværd, now with a light breeze in their backs created yet another chance, but this time Thomas J found the net to give us renewed hope. With free space on the right and a good shot that hit the keeper but found the net 4 v 2 Esp, this was an important goal for us. Five minutes later and Thomas J again breached their packed defence.4v3 Esp. The game and theCup was in our reach, but with time running out we needed to throw caution to the wind,. I sent Emil Forward as an extra man in attack. Unfortunately this give Esp good counter attack possibilities and soon after we went  further behind 5v3 Esp.  It could have been worse except for some good saves late in the game by Simon ,as we left ourselves exposed pushing forward. Nothing went in our favour today. With three Bagsværd corners at the end of the game and a late Oliver Strike to finish the game 5v4Esp. We must accept defeat. But one thing is clear we give them a game they will not forget. All the boys received their new white and black training strip, and a medal and consolation Cup from Ølstykke. Well done boys.

Simon , Theis,  Mads, Magnus, Asger, Thomas J, Thomas C, Oliver, Emil.
1st  Half  4 v 1 Espergæde
2nd Half  1 v 3 Bagsværd
Goals        Oliver    2
                  Thomas 2

Man Of The Match : Simon for his heroic attitude, typical of everyone..
Tak for kampen Espergæde og tillykke med sejren og "Fairplay". Vi ses snart ! Kamp rapport er set gennem Bagsværds brille.!
Tak Ølstykke og dommern.

BBK(1) crush Karlslunde

    6 Feb. 2009      Chevrolet Cup rund 3

 BBK(1) 11 v 1 Karlslunde

Karslunde in the autumn of 2009 won convincingly their 2 division group (2 række pulje), with 25 out of 30 maximum points.

Unfortunately for them they ended up in a winter tournament with 3 very strong 1st division standard teams. If they had had an easier 1st division group they will have cleared themselves as an average team at this level. They have several very good individuals, and our high goal tally against them does not reflect on this team’s potential, a team who fought to the bitter end and finally scored a well deserved consolation goal at the end of the game.

However Bagsværd clinically out played Karslunde in every aspect of team work. Something Karslunde really need to focus on, if they have hopes of making the spring from division 2 to division 1, successfully.

Karslunde started unlucky with two forced own goals from a Thomas Joe shot and Mads TL pressure. There after except for some very quick counter attacks through the middle of the field Karlunde were for the largest part of the game pressed back in their own half of the pitch.

Simonour goal keeper had a quiet 1st half but was awake enough to make some saves in the 2nd half.

Thomas Cset up many chances for us with his precise passing, scoring 1 goal himself and several assists that set up Oliver A for 4 goals and Thomas J for 4 goals. The highlight of this evening was Thomas Joes solo run along the byline, without any room to work in, He slid past without dribbling 1,2,3,4 and then 5 players, 3 of them fell over each other without getting a tackle in, Thomas then squeezed the ball between the legs of the oncoming goalkeeper. (and i had been concerned that in the latest he has not been himself on the pitch, and maybe the cold winter effects him). Well done Thomas J.

This evening we were effectively missing 3 first team players Magnus, Emil (injured) and Frederik who despite turning up to play had a bad back. (So keen is their enthusiasm to play). Lucky enough it was easy to see he had problems and he therefore Frederik played little part in tonight’s action.

Stepping forward in a central defence position (he is not very happy for) was William B from the 2nd team, who is beginning to show himself alongside Mathias TL and possibly Andreas W as reliable reserve players for us. Allowing these 2nd team players to train with us is giving more depth to the team and heading in the right direction of troop training. William Bs contribution earned him Man of the match, and gives him valuable experience he can take back to the 2nd team.

Karslunde have some tough games in front of them against Gladsaxe Hero and Ølstykke and not least against us again. I have however been assured from the Chevrolet Cup organisers that under the competition rules that we have actually already qualified for the Final after this evenings result, If this is correct, (I, m not totally convinced) then I can use the last game against Karlslunde as a training game to try 1st and 2nd team players in different positions to that they are used to. I can then save some 1st team players for the 7 man in doors competition in Top Denmark Hallen, shortly after.

Well done boys, it seems like you have won a very tough group, and deserve to be in the final.

Our opposition will possibly be “Sjælland mestersilver team Espergærde, who appear on the results to be the only quality team in their group. Although they easily beat Frederiksund, .Who we had a drawn 4 v4 against in the autumn of 2008 in division 1.

Thank you again Karlslunde for a spirited fight,

Karlslunde bounce back !

Feb 28
Chevrolet Cup rund 6 - 2009
Karlslunde 3 V 3 BBK(1)

With an easy victory to BBK(1) in the 3rd round of the Chevrolet Cup against the same team as today’s opposition, it seemed on paper to be a formality,.
We have already qualified ourselves to the final and I planned to use the game to experiment a little, if the game went in the same direction as I expected by half time.... so could we play Brazilian !
However Karslunde over the holiday period notched up a moral boosting good 2 v 5 victory over a strong Ølstykke team, and came fired up to revenge their humiliation against us. 11 v 1!
Against the run of play Karslunde snapped up 2 chances to lead 2 v 0 in the first 15 minutes. Opposite to Karlunde and slow reacting after a lazy long winter holiday, BBK(1) despite having most possession of the ball, lacked sharpness. Ball control (first touch) and shooting were not the best I have seen.
A compact small pitch allowed a very defensive Karlslund to always get some one behind the ball to block or misdirect our efforts.
We pulled a deserved goal back with a shot into the long corner from Oliver A just before the end of the 1st half.2 v 1,.
 2:halvleg:
After a strong period of BBK(1) pressure, a forced error by Thomas C, forced Karlslunde to score an own goal (credited to Thomas).2 v2 BBK(1). Now we expected to run Karlsunde in over them selves, but this hard fighting team were not finished and again through the middle we allowed them to slip through against the run of play. An unchallenged free runner now put the home team in front again 3 v 2 Karlslunde. Now it was about avoiding a shock result and thoughts of playing "Brazilian" were far away. Good work by Thomas C allowed Thomas J to slot the "expected" equaliser in 3 v 3,BBK(1) although fears of an effective counter attack from Karlslunde remained at the back of my minds.
It was clear after the game Karlslunde were most happy to hear the referees whistle. We can consol our selves that with a little bit more sharpness (which will come again) today could and should have been a comfortable win.
Magnus JH earned Man of the Match for his more determined attitude.

All credit to Karlslunde, who could finish their winter tournement in 3rd place over Gladsaxe Hero,... which shows the margin between sucsess and failure in this tight group has been very marginal, indeed. Karlslunde with another win could lift themselves from no hopers to also ran,s,. Well done.

                                 Ølstykke 1 v 3 BBK(1)

Today we where rewarded for our hard work and not for fine football. I expected a tough fight on a very cold winter day and it took all my resources to get the boys in the right frame of mind to fight of the cold and focus on the game in hand.

I was constantly after them, and to there credit they responded fantastic. Ølstykke were tough opposition, with good technical ability and physical strength.

Both sides have tightened up dramatically in defence since their crazy 9 v 6 encounter 1 month ago.

Both defences were so difficult that I would guess we scored 3 times out of 6/7 good chances, whilst they scored 1 out of maybe 4/5 good chances.

The game was full of mistakes, poor passing, poor man marking, desperate last tackles, and uncoordinated play. In return the ball was beaten backwards and forwards in a midfield battle, a battle we where in danger of loosing towards the end of the game as we ran out of steam. But now we were 1 v 3 in front.

But in between the clumsy rhythm of the game, now and again we also put enough passes together to give us the edge.

Our starting line up included playing with an injured heroic Emil who was a double hat rick hero in the earlier 9 v 6 win over the same team. Emil was now reduced to being a blocker in front of our defence, and we avoided using his incredible running abilities, to reduce the possibility of making his injuries worse. Emil played another fine game. Mads TL although not always doing the correct thing with the ball was lively and active and helped keep the ball in the oppositions half and therefore helped the defence and the rest of the midfield to get their breath back.

Magnus had 2 wild shots at goal in the first 5 minutes of the game , and this give me some satisfaction that at least he dared have a go, something we practiced in training the day before.

 1 half:

The luxury green grass deceived to give an impression this was a nice summer day, especially when the sun shined through, but make no mistake this was an ice cold winter day. With a wind chill factor well under minus blowing directly in to Bagsværds face.

Ølstykke took the lead from an in swinging free kick. Simon stood in the right place at the right time, but some how it slipped through to give Ølstykke a deserved early lead. 1 v 0 Ølstykke.

Without really creating any clear cut chances at this stage, a solo dribbling effort and shot from Oliver, equalized just before half time, against the run of play 1 v 1Bagsværd.

2 half:

The tide changed slowly but surely as Ølstykkes now faced the ice wind, but not before a ten minute period of Ølstykke resistance. We now begun to create more chances and have more play, and finally the deadlock was broken with another Oliver Angus rebound shot at goal that found the net. 1 v 2 Bagsværd.Thomas Joe hit the bar and Ølstykke hit the bar twice in the closing stages to keep the tension there, but finally with another well struck shot, hat trick hero Oliver closed the game to become Man of the match. 1 v 3 Bagsværd..... Result

Ølstykke were a tough nut to crack and I think Gladsaxe Hero will have a hard time beating them.

We are now in pole position in our group and clear leaders with 9 points. This was a very good victory to put on top of our win against Gladsaxe Hero, last week.

Well done boys.

I was also out with my other son in this cold winter weather earlier today to see AB go down to Brøndby 0 v 3, and I am still like an ice cube 3 hrs after coming home, but nothing warms me up more than thinking about how good our boys are and what progress they are making.

 25 Jan                       Chevrolet Cup  Rund 5 - 2009

               BBK(1) 8 v 3 GladsaxeHero
Today we gave our biggest rivals something to think about. After an incredible series of events the last year has seen these very good teams directly opposite each other in the league and cup. Until today all the honours went to Gladsaxe Hero, who won broze in the sjælland championship in October (instead of us), beating us to 1st place in the league,. They then stole the Dansk Bank Cup with a solitary 1 v 0 win in the final and beat us 6 v 5 in the 2nd round of this competition.
It is difficult to stay cool and calculated and pretend todays game was not important. Besides putting ourselves into 1st place and minimising Gladsaxes chance to go further, it was important for our boys to get recognition for all their hard work over the last year against this team. That we done it so convincingly "crushing" Gladsaxe Hero comes as no shock to me, who has believed all along that we play the better football. The depth of our troup is expanding, and we are quickly adapting to some new fresh ideas tactically ., We are also gradually but surely also becoming less dependent on just a few players who carry the load, although it won,t happen overnight, there are positiv sign on all fronts , that this will get even better. The addition of a dynamic new player to the troup Thomas Curtiss (man of the match) has not threatened any other boys position, but added an exciting new dimension with new possibilities, to our collective work.It also allows me to change out in between some of the other load bearing players.
The match: Karim (Gladsaxes Hero,s ace player) nearly spoilt our day (like he usually does) by scoring a hattrick in the first 15 minutes. It seemed like a nightmare of a day loomed in front of us ! 0 v 3 Gladsaxe Hero.
Instead the boys decided without nothing to loose (except the match) ,they might as well have a go. Our games are never boring against Gladsaxe Hero and before the 1st half was finished we had fought our way back into the game to 2 v 3.
Now i played my biggest gamble! at the start of the 2nd half 3 of the teams load bearers Theis, Oliver and Thomas J sat out, to save energy for the last 4th part of the game, so we could finish strong. The rearranged team now went on to not only equalise to 3 v 3 but went on to score again to 4 v 3, an incredible turn about.
With one more cast of the dice we could end the game with 3 fresh strong players on the field, already leading. From this point i was not in doubt we would drive home our first victory over Gladsaxe Hero since a training game 1 year before. There was an own goal,5 v 3 there was a penalty 6 v 3 and a goal keeper drop, gifted  to Bagsværd,7 v 3,and another goal8 v 3 ,who without these would have won 5 v 3 anyway. Even Karim (GH)who was heroically carried of the field after a bruising tackle with Oliver(BBK) late in the game could not help them this time.
Relief and satisfaction, and the hope we don,t meet them again in the leauge in spring were my first thoughts. (Happy to be on top of them with nothing more to prove!) Now their trainer can sit and speculate over them there Bagsværd fighters !
GOALS: Thomas C ..... 2    Man of the match
             Frederik K ....2
          Oliver   A  .....1
          Mads TL .....   1
          Thomas J ...    1
          OG  ...........   1
When we were 0 v 3 down , i decided not to use an extra man as the rules allow, ( I think this rule disguises a teams weak points and we cannot learn from it), However Gladsaxe from 6 v 3 down used this extra man rule and against 8 men on the pitch we went on to score twice more without reply.
Bagsværd were fantastic this evening.

 13 Dec 2008  Chevrolet Cup Round 2
GladsaxeHero 6 v 5 BBK(1)
Its hard to be objective and analytical just after a defeat by a team who wont lay down and be put in their place. Not since this time last year in a trainings game were we defeated them by the same result 6 v 5 have we managed to beat them.
The league and the Dansk Bank Cup went to what has become our nemesis , voodo, or boogie team. We were dynamic , we pressed we pushed we fought and most of all played some really nice football. Thomas Joe was our player who i was convinced would tip the balance in our favour, missing the DBC and being of colour in the league, he also rightly earned Man of the match, carving Gladsaxes defence in to shreds in tonights exciting thriller.
All our goals came from good movement and good football, unfortunatly with a strong breeze against us in the first half we made a few defence mistakes which were heavily punished. Despite these unlucky breaks and a corner which blew directly in to our goal the defence worked well, and under normal circumstances the law of averages would say that we would slip lightly for some of our mistakes (but we did,nt). But despite our hard working team who in one attack alone, hit the bar twice and the post twice and lead not less than four times in the game the defeat comes as a shock!
It must also be said that Gladsaxe bounced back time after time to make it another memorable encounter, and the truth is you can not give six goals away and say you deserve to win, against ateam who ended with bronze in the Sjælland championship this year.
We can have another go at them in the new year were we must win if we are to have a chance to win our group... It is possible, and although Gladsaxe have had the early initiative and ... luck against us, our belief is there. It will not bother me however after our next encounter if we don,t meet them again for another season or two.
I think seriousely that between us we have 2 of the best 5 teams in Sjælland, right on each others doorstep ! at this moment in time!
The others must be Greve, Espergærde, Gladsaxe,Vallensbæk, and Bagsværd.
Let us see who is on top after we have played another two or three seasons and another 10 / 15 games against each other!
We are down but not out ! we live to fight another day.
Goals:    Oliver        3
             Thomas J  1
             Emil          1
Team: Simon, Mads TL, Asger FH, Theis, Frederik, Emil, Oliver, Thomas and debutant William who adjusted OK to the much higher tempo and requirement at this level, than that he has been use to.
Træners comment: Another great fight and another great game, well done boys

 7 Dec 2008         Chevrolet Cup rund 1

   BBK (1) 6 Ølstykke
Our winter program of training with only a few training matches behind us, was not the ideal build up to this hard fought game. ( I have used just so much energy on the 2nd and 3rd teams, to the neglect of the 1st team). However the boys after a poor start and 1 v 3 behind after only ten minutes fought back heroically to go into the 2nd half level 3 v 3.
There were many tired legs out there today, and our energy level combined with an improving football standard throughout the game finally seen of a determined but ever increasingly tired Ølstykke. Pysically strong and technically good Ølstykke will be a good team in division 1 after winning all their games in division 2.
Our training games against the physically strong Bagsværd 99 (årgang) proved to be ideal preparation for this game. After loosing the most of our training games (not important) today was a good match to get on the winning trail.
Well done boys.!
Trainers comment: A typical winter training game where contitions are not always ideal for good technical football and the focus moves over to the pysical duel ,which we won today.

Nørhalne Cup Elite 2009 E35

 23/5/09
           Nørhalne Cup 2009 E35 and B17 Under 9,s
I am sorry you have not had a running update but we have been so busy.
The bus trip here went without any cases of travel sickness, and spirits were very high, with much singing aimed at the under fifteens who travelled with us from Køge BK.
Our accomodation and facilities are well organised with many children from diffrent countries and age groups all around us. Everything from the transport backwards and forwards to the many playing areas , and the food are fine.
I am not sure about the B-team, but i know we have not had anybody suffering from home sickness in our A-team group.
Both our teams had a really good start, however results have not gone right for either team since.
Short and long the top English teams are dominating the tournament, proving to be simply a class above the Danish sides and the others.
At the wrong end of the table we shall play against Brøndby, Espergærde, or Hjorthøj Egå or Lyseng to be the best of the rest, all very good Danish sides.

 24/5/09
  Nørhalne Cup 2009 E35 and B17 Under 9,s ....continued

The tour has been a great success. Even though the near game results have not all gone our way, everyone can see that the children have had a great fun time, and gained invaluable experience.(Football and social).
None of the children were out of control, and a good sense of comaradship was developed and encouraged between the two groups and all the boys.
Each group supported the other were it was practical, and all of the boys have eaten together each evening after returning from their diffrent agendas.
Each team played 6 games over 3 days which proved to be more of an endurence and stamina test than to play "nice" football all the time. Our ressourses physically and mentally were tested to the maximum.

A - Holdet BBK(1)
       (Ukraine)   FC Nika     ...      0 v 8  BBK (1)
                       Hjortehøj Eggå   3 v 2  BBK (1)
                       Lyseng              1 v 0  BBK (1)
       (England)   Southend           7 v 1  BBK (1)
                       Espergærde        0 v 1  BBK (1)
We met old rivals and new friends, with encounters against good danish sides like Hjorte Eggå and Lyseng from Jylland,. We also played our good rivals and friends from Espergærde and an even better english side from Southend.
Cambridge, Southend, and FDS soccer school from Norhampton proved to be the dominering english teams who set a new standard for us and the other danish and international teams to aim after . The final between Cambridge and Southend ended in a great game won by Cambridge 4 v 2.
Our boys mixed well with the english boys, especially FDS,s year 99 and 2000 boys.
On the evenings the trainers often met for a discussion on the days events and to make new contacts. The result is that the english teams could be intrested in a tour to our club if we can organise some good opposition from the best in Sjælland.
There was also the added spice of teams from the Ukraine and Russia, which BBK(1) og BBK(2) had their best victories over, in a flying start to the tournement.
I think everone is encouraged to go on another tour, and i hope it becomes a regular event to go on tour 2 or 3 times a year, but will be content with 1 or 2 times a year.
Where to next ?

Division 1 Group 2
Sjælland Bold Union (SBU-Denmark) U/13,s
                                Lyngby 2 v 2 Albertslund
The season is coming to a rapid close, and now is the time to look at what is happening in the other 2 Groups that make up the SBUs.Division 1. The league could and should have been decided by Albertslund in this top game. Lyngby made an incredibly lucky come back in the last 5 minutes to give themselves a life line to the now deciding last round with two goals, a penalty ? and a free kick? Albertslund still lead the leauge with 2 points over Lyngby. Albertslund can be annoyed with themselves at they did,nt close the game much earlier.
Lyngby were very dissapointing on todays showing with many individual performences but very little movement of the ball for each other. These two "top teams" would definitly have a difficult time in Division 1s Group 1. Albertslund were the better of the two sides and would survive a little better in Group 1, than Lyngby on todays showing. The quality of the football was in fairness also affected by a blustery wind.
I had a speciel interest in this game as two of my former players who were the backbone of my own team for 5 years in Bagsværd a longside my own son William Angus (now playing for Division 1 Group 1 team AB) were on the pitch.
Dissapointingly Kasper Eriksen was pulled of at half time and Frederik Stengård was moved around and never really got into the game . Under me at Bagsværd their work rate was at a much higher tempo , and was typical of todays lazy Lyngby. These two players if used correctly and given the responsibility could really lift their team to a higher level.
It was also noticable that Lyngbys trainer was taking advice and not making all his own decisions, and thats not good for the teams chain of command.

Elite 11 a-side Denmark

9Sept
Division1Group1  Sjælland Ball Union (SBU -Denmark) U/13,s
Autumn 2008
Akademisk Boldklub  4 v 2 Ølstykke.
Ølstykke are another club who have survived the transition from 7a-side football to 11a-side. Traditionally Ølstykke have been a good 7a-side club, not elite but up with the best of the rest with BSV. A flying start to their 11a-side campaign and Ølstykke sat on the top of their perch on goal diffrence over AB. In the very first top decider of a game in this "elite" division AB knocked Ølstykke of their perch, to pruodly sit on the top of Division 1 group 1 themselves, but not without drama.

Ølstykke took an early lead after after a center defence mistake by AB. 0v1 Ølstykke. Even though AB,s passing style was more proffessional than Ølstykkes kick and rush, style it was Ølstykke who came further in front early in the second half 0v2 Ølstykke. Their was no panic from AB who continued to play good football but it was clear that another Ølstykke goal could seal it for them. AB replied with an important goal 1v2. Panic in Ølstykkes defence and they give AB a penalty .2v2 AB.
Williams part in the game: With both teams fighting for the 3 points and not settling for shared honours it was William who stole forward pushed all the way by a strong Ølstykke defender to cooly lob the keeper from 15 metres. 3v2 AB. On top of his usually solid game where he also looked more comfortable in his old midfield role he deserved a good 8 out of 10.
Bojan AB,s attackers showed a sharpnes he has not shown in the last 3 months to clinch it in the last minute 4v2 AB. 8 out of 10.
Drillon
AB,s other attacker showed great pace to give Ølstykkes left back a difficult day

Division1Group1

BSV 0 v 6  Akademisk Boldklub
BSV are another side like Virumsorgenfri who have always had quite good or very good 7 a-side teams. Although BSV are large enough to survive the transition from 7a-side to 11a-side football they walked into an AB slaughter house today. BSV with all their clever players created nearly nothing in the first half and absolutely nothing in the second half. AB a few days after their return from the Helsinki Cup were knife sharp in relation to a BSV team who where hit by an AB tornado.
AB won nearly all their 50/50 balls. Its back to the drawing board for BSV whilst AB march on from strength to strength. AB and Ølstykke share first place at the top of Division 1.
Williams part in the game: Fully over his penalty miss in the Helsinki Cup that would have sent them to the finals, he played his part in this convincing win always doing the correct thing, he is a very good player in a very good side 8 out of 10.

28 Aug
Division1Group1  Sjælland Ball Union (SBU-Denmark) U/13,s Autumn 2008
Akademisk Boldkub (AB) 5 v 3 Stenløse
After beating Virum the week before, this evenings task was expected to be a relative tame affair. Stenløse surprised with the depth of players they have and seem a better 11a-side team than the 7a-side team they where.
Despite a willingness to do battle with AB, AB are just a little bit better in each department and should have put Stenløse to bed much earlier than they finaly done. AB maybe with the for comming tour to Finland in their thoughts had several good chances they burnt whilst Stenløse took nearly all theirs. AB go top of the table and Stenløse heroically sent to the bottom.
It looks as though this "eite" 11a-side leauge is taking shape and hotting up,and AB one of the favourites will not get things all their own way.
The only negative today was AB miss their midfield dynomo and engine in the next camp against BSV- Red card in a revenge attack.Daniel Børner.
(Hattrick hero from last week).
Williams part in the game: William was moved back in to defence where they controlled Stenløse reasonably well, except for 1 or 2 missunderstandings.

24 Aug
Division1Group1 Sjælland Ball Union (SBU-Denmark) U/13,s Autumn 2008
Virumsorgnfri  1  v  4  AB
After six years of bitter rivalry and respect for each other as 7a-side local elite sides, today's game was very special. Who,s long term strategy had been the best, and which team had the strongest troop to pick from in the very first of the 11a-side league games for both clubs .
I think today it was evident , even though AB were not at their best form they were still to strong for Virum, who looked anything like the superb 7 a-side elite team they had been. In fact Virum were made to look very ordinary. (A strange thing to say about this formally fantastic team).
Daniel AB,s midfield dynamo with his individual charisma kept things hanging together in midfield and scored two long distance shots from 25 metres each, On a rain sodden pitch, one of these shots skidded of the surface to beat Virums first class goalkeeper David in the long corner.
(AB expect David to join them at the end of the season.).
One off sloppy goalkeeping mistake by Akute AB,s good goalkeeper allowed Virum back into a game that seemed lost for them up to that point.
The second half was better by AB , who were much more creative and structured in their play, although Virum also had their moments AB had more control. An acute angled cross/shot beat David again to take the pressure of AB by Ingeslew AB,s captain.. Daniel rounded of an excellent day with another long shot and an hatrick, defiantly my Man off the match.
Williams part in the game: The movements tackling and passing he made were very good but he simply did not do enough of it today. He was pulled of at half time and came on again in defence , where he made a sensible account of himself. He knows himself it was not his best day today 6 out of 10.
O
ther players who played well today were Emil Holt (Virum) and Drilon (AB)
