Kampreferat BBK(1)
Velkommen til vores hjemmeside

  8-Oktober -2009     SBU Række 1 Pulje 1

                  BBK (1) 2 v 2 Snekkersten

After a fantastic season with many exciting games behind us, not only in the SBU but also i n different Cup competitions that we have won, tonight ended in a disappointing fiasco in relation to the trainers and referees miss understanding in communication relating to time played.

Our reliable and fair referee first played to long in the first half and then shorter than the agreed shorter time both teams had agreed to in the 2nd half. In the name of fair play because

Snekkersten had played a game the evening before against Frederikssund, we done what we could to accommodate them, but it was either too much or not enough.

(I think we should let the referee decide in future how long we play in each half).

I would welcome a re-match! (But I know it will not happen).

1st half:

We tried a few new ideas tonight in preparation for the exciting winter “Champions League Cup which we are involved in already on 25 October. Frederik for the first time stood in goal and although he did, t have much to do, when he was called on, he took the ball at least 4 times in half dangerous situations.

Frederik cleared his tasks well and therefore shared Man Of TheMatch, along side  Emil.

We also changed our formation to allow our defenders to come more in to the play in and around midfield. Our backs in this way were able to use some of their reserves of energy to help the mid-field, which has been a problem in the later stages of recent games.

Emil had a completely new role to that what he is used to and was very good at cancelling out any dangerous opposition play, before it developed into something. Despite the success of our new formation at the first attempt, we blundered twice which both times cost us goals …… (skidt med det).

We immediately replied to Snekkerstens 2nd goal with a Thomas Joe shot into the roof of the net. 2 v 1. Just before ½ time and Oliver scooped up a goal mouth scramble and hammered it in from close distance. 2 v 2 BBK(1). At this point steam was coming out of Snekkerstens trainers ears nose and mouth as he was about to explode, pointing to his stop watch.

As described earlier, the second half was a fiasco and actually only 17 minutes were played. This gives an average over the whole game of 23½ minutes each half. The momentum had been with us all the way, and we had more than deserved to equalise, and anything less than equalising would not have been a fair reflection of our dominance. In large periods we had all the play. Our passing play improved as the game progressed. Unfortunately in the 2nd half neither team really came in to action in a scrappy ½ of a ½?

Snekkersten should have been more grateful for the referee’s mistake in shortening the game too early. Although Snekkersten had played the evening before, they chose themselves to play the day after and were offered both Saturday and the original date! as an alternative.

So ends another great series of games for us, although one or two very interesting games remain, not least between Espergærde and Birkerød for top place…. I will have to see that one! As I write our good friends from Allerød have just beaten our good friends from BSV,

Allerød now share first place before the “pulje” final, so that the top place is not decided as of yet.

This result also should move Bagsværd into 4th place as we have the same points as BSV, although we have beaten them, at this moment in time the League shows BSV wrongly placed above us. Goal difference is the 3rd choice of deciding when two teams have equal points. Internal game result 2nd choice and point diffrence 1st choice.

These details are not important, but they are fun!

Man Of The Match……. Emil and Frederik

Goals                                   Thomas J ………. 1

SBU Række 1 Pulje 1... Birkerød 6 v 2 BBK(1)

2 Oktober 2009   SBU Række 1 Pulje 1  Efterår

Birkerød 6 v 2 Bagsværd

This was a game that ended Bagsværds hopes of finishing the SBU league division 1 at the top.

It was also another game that showed how much progress has been made by many clubs, as the SBU league division 1 reaches a climax. Fantastic progress has been made in the last year, and this evening we were unfortunate witness to one of the teams who have stormed forward and are now after our defeat this evening one of the hot favourites to win this last SBU tournament, in the format we know it with a 4th 3rd 2nd and this 1st division.

What a shame the SBU will mix and miss match teams in the spring of 2010 with an ABC league.

1st Half.

Bagsværd started best and continued in that way for a large part of the 1st half. It was very much in the same style as we done against another very good side Allerød last week. This time however despite having most of the play and chances it was Birkerød who scored from a lucky rebound from a corner.1 v 0 Birkerød. It has to be said that we had at least 5 clear chances after this before Birkerød scored again. 2 v 0 Birkerød.

Towards the end of the 1st half Birkerød showed us a few signs of what was to be expected in the 2nd half. Birkerød had begun to find their rhythm and had adjusted to our hard pressure and high tempo we had set from the start.

We were actually lucky toward the end of the 1st half not to concede a 3rd or even a 4th goal. Instead Thomas Joe found the net with a much harder long distance shot than some of the far more easy chances Bagsværd had burnt through out the 1st half. 2 v 1 BBK(1).Game on!

2nd Half

Before the game today I said to the boys that our intensive passing training and our game against Ølstykke and Allerød had shown me that when they are fresh, and focused they look like a very good team, and impossible to beat. We needed though to work on increasing the amount of time we keep up that high standard. We could not allow our selves a poor half against a side like Birkerød as we had against Ølstykke.

Identifying a problem does not mean you can find an instant solution to it. The 2nd half against an increasingly confident well playing hard working disciplined and organised Birkerød proved to be too big a mouth full and Birkerød deserved a comprehensive win with dominance over us in the 2nd half. . Add to this a physical strong attitude to challenge for every ball and, it is easy to see how Birkerød are beginning to look like the SBU Champions.

What is noticeable in our games is that we work hard to create many chances, which we often waste, even though we most often control the game for large periods. Our opposition generally seems to use their fewer chances better. It is not that our defence is doing anything wrong in a positional sense. What is noticeable however is the defence organisation that worked so well for us in the last year since the last shake up,  is not working for us now.

Part of the problem is we are physically being hustled of the ball. We are also not clearing the ball away from the danger areas in defence with more conviction and power. Many of our opposition attackers are bigger and stronger than a year ago. I would also like to see our smaller but very lively defenders more involved in our build up play, playing more as wing backs. I need to tap into these natural energy supplies.

As things are with our present system we are standing waiting in defence for counter attacks, whilst our midfield burns themselves out.

It will mean reverting to a new system that I used with success very much with my year group 96 team. Already the game against Snekkersten will give us a chance to try it out. It means simply that the defenders have added confidence and security moving forward knowing that the defensive midfielder is now a central defence player. (The last man before the goalkeeper.)

We have a few weeks to work on it before the Champions Leauge. By the time we meet Birkerød again in this winter tournament, I expect that we come back stronger. We can measure directly if we can feel a difference when we will again be put to the test.

Kamp Referat fra Allerød SBU Række 1 Efterårs kamp imod Bagsværd

Fredag. d. 25. september 2009

Bagsværd-AFK: 3-3 (3-2)

Heldigvis for os havde Rasmus K. valgt at finde sit storspil frem igennem alle kampens 50 minutter.

Derfor træner vi bl.a.

A classic encounter between two very well organised and disciplined sides, who shared up to this point today, equal honours, and mutual respect for each other. Allerød won a last minute victory 5 v 4 over us in the spring of 2009. This give Allerød a springboard to go on and win the league at their first attempt, and to send the strongest possible signal to the other strong sides that Allerød are here to stay. We managed however to knock them out of the AB Cup and to walk away with top honours a couple of weeks later.

With a super strong SBU group, every game is like a Cup-Final, and today had all the ingredients for a classic encounter. Both teams agreed before the game that a draw was no use to either Allerød or us. A draw would simply allow one of our other strong opposition sides to sneak in front of both of our teams to possibly steal the title. Morten for Allerød and I for Bagsværd joked about playing for a golden goal, so at least one of us went forward.

As an extra sign of respect not just for their football ability but also for their friendly attitude and fair play I decided to order and pay for an SBU referee. Nothing should spoil this day. I laughed when I heard Morten had been so excited that he could not sleep the previous two nights, and relieved to know I am not the only football nut!

1st Half:

All trainers in such a game hope for a good start and not to concede an early goal, and preferably score early. We came out good from the start as did Allerød, both sets of boys feeling the strength of each other in the opening minutes.

Relatively early in the game I had a good feeling about this start. We appeared sharper and more determined. We were winning most of the 50/50 balls and also some of the 60/40 balls. We also found each other very well with the ball and we seemed to have control at the back with our defenders positioned well. We also had some early shots at Allerøds goal, only to discover that Allerød have one of the best goalkeepers we have met this year.

We despite this took an early lead after 10 minutes after Thomas C with a typical check, taking a defender out of the play and at the same time sighting a 15 metre shot placed the ball over a helpless Allerød goal keeper. 1 v 0 BBK (1)

Optimism was high, although experience against Allerød had shown we had a long way to go before we could celebrate.

Allerød (whilst I turned my back for a moment) had ventured for only one of a few attempts into our half of the pitch and suddenly Allerød had scored from nothing. What seemed like a speculative shot from an acute angle found our net in the long corner out of reach of Magnus.

I had not seen the build up but it looked as though Allerøds attacker had far too much time and room to pick his shot
1 v 1 Allerød. Up to that point our defence of Mads,  Asger and Theis (combinations) had played very well. It was also a feature of the rest of the game that our defence played very well today, but was punished very heavily for the very few lapses in concentration they made.

This set back only made BBK(1) more determined and although Allerød started fighting back BBK(1) quickly re established control of the game pressing Allerød back into their half of the pitch. We had 5/6 attacks for each of Allerøds, and we simply did not allow them to come into any kind of rhythm to play the type of football they can. It took however a solo run from Thomas J to open them up and to re-establish a 2 v 1 BBK (1) lead. What we needed now was to score again and to break down any further Allerød resistance. The problem as it proved to be for us, was that although hard pressed, Allerød remained disciplined and determined, and did not loose their structure.

Allerøds attacker exploited another moment’s lack of concentration and misunderstanding between two of our defenders to step into the hole created between them, and was quick enough to fire a shot of that again found our net before the tackle came in.

I was directly behind the attacker and could see everything open up in front of him and see the ball, almost in slow motion find the only hole there was to shoot in. Shi#?!t. 2 v 2Allerød.

This again gives Allerød a lift, but again BBK (1) hid their frustration and got on with the game again. We again regained our dominance, and belief never left our boys, and again a well placed Oliver shot from outside the box put Allerød in their place after a sustained period of pressure on Allerøds goal.
3 v 2 BBK (1). What a half!

   2nd Half

What was noticeable about this half was that although we continued to create many attacks with our oppressive offensive play, it required a constant high level of energy. The longer the game went on without breaking Allerød down, the more possible it was that Allerød would come into the game stronger and stronger.

Allerød had energy held in storage to take over the play and the last 10/12 minutes belonged to Allerød. There was some desperate determined defending as  BBK(1) defended their 3 v 2 lead. Allerød however, again found a way through a crowded Bagsværd defence to slip the ball past Magnus, 3 v 3 Allerød. If anything knocked the wind out of BBK(1)s sails it was that goal. It looked as though we could hold them of to that point with some great defending.

Now there was a real danger of Allerød stealing the game in the dying seconds from us as they had In the spring of 2009. The momentum was with them. Magnus saved the day with a great save at the end of the game, and I sighed with relief at the referees whistle blew for full time.

Good we did not play golden goal !

To be honest a loss today would have been very unfair to our boys, and if we could have exploited more of our chances created through out the whole game, then we should have had a relatively comfortable win.

Allerød again proved as we have also shown this season, a quality side never gives up.

   To use a metaphor:

Today’s game was like a game of chess where up on Allerød played the whole game without

     their  Queen.

We had Allerød in Check three times, but never in Check mate! Allerød played clever and i n the end had us in Check, and very nearly in Check mate!

   Another metaphor:

Allerød were dead but they would not allow us to bury them.

A great game played in a very fair manner.

If it means anything the referee complimented Bagsværds play and the game. I think even the referee enjoyed it. He was also very good.

19 Sept 2009 Efterårs sæson

SBU Række 1 Pulje 1 Årgang 2000  U/10

  Ølstykke   2 v 4  BBK(1)

The league we are in is very exciting with the difference between the low and high placed teams being at an absolute minimal and with only three games left after today’s game. Every point gained or dropped ads to the excitement and elimination of a possible league winner.

We had to treat Ølstykke with the respect they deserve., We have played and won over Ølstykke twice in the Chevrolet Cup , but not without great difficulty, they were then as now a well disciplined side with many more positive attributes than negative. We expected a difficult game again and we had one too.
1st Half :

Both sides started well, playing the ball around, and already after 10 minutes it was clear that this was not going to be easy for us. However we finally took one of our chances which only came after hard work each time, with a great Thomas C strike... 1 v 0 BBK(1). It appeared as though we had broken their resistance. We came to create double as many chances in the next ten minutes as the first ten minutes. Our best chance however came from a clear penalty, which a great run by Thomas C had earned before, he was hacked down. It was an almost identical run at goal as that which he scored from.

Oliver who scores many goals for the team took the penalty and hit it poorly, and it was saved.

Ølstykke lifted them selves again in short periods. From one of them, came a great solo run from Ølstykkes little attacker “Svendsen”. Svendsen dribbled not less than three BBK(1) players, holding them of and slipping the ball past our goalkeeper. I could have been after our defence for not tackling him, but the truth was none of them came near him. A great goal, and unfortunately 1 v 1 Ølstykke at the end of the first half. After missing the penalty and Ølstykke scoring from nothing shortly after, I really thought this was going to end as the seasons shock result ?, or at least the result which dash any hopes we might have of winning the league.

   2nd Half.

I explained to the boys at half time to continue their good play and that we would come in front again. The only thing that had not happened right was to score.

However  Ølstykke maybe sensing they had a chance for their second win of the season and Bagsværd loosing a little concentration, whatever reason it was clear that Ølstykke thought they had a chance. Many Bagsværd

attacks were broken up and possession lost with UN concentrated play and passing. To make thinks worse “little Svendsen” with a BBK(1) defender at his back and his back to goal, managed to turn his man and slip it in to our goal
2 v 1 Ølstykke.

Now we had a real problem with our play which went from bad to worse in the 2nd half. Tiredness and lack of concentration became a factor with only 1substitute. Ølstykke had come close to scoring twice with corners and lucky enough, our defenders challenged just enough to stop their other attacker guiding the ball in the net with two powerful headers. (Something we discussed just before the start of the game)

From a corner to us, Emil give us a life line back into the game that had been in danger of slipping away from us with the consequence that held in ending our season early as a competative side for the leauge. A superb header from a great Thomas C corner finally beat a very good Ølstykke goal keeper. 2 v 2 BBK(1) Game on.

A very good Ølstykke side with maybe one too many defeats behind them now seemed to give up.

For the last 10 minutes of the game Bagsværd suddenly found their form and belief they had showed in the first half. Shortly after followed a well placed left foot shot from Thomas C who scored his second of the game.
2 v 3 BBK(1)
This was followed again by a great first touch from Frederik who sent Emil free again to score his second of the game, and effectively killed the game and any hope of any Ølstykke comeback. 2 v 4 BBK(1)

What is Impressive with Emil is that he is gaining in confidence in shooting with his weaker l eft leg, each game and scoring with it, fantastic !

If the game had ended a draw we would have been disappointed but would have had nothing to complain about.

The referee was one of the better ones we have seen, much better than BSV, s

Another tough hard game and victory against another good side: If Ølstykke can give “Little Svendsen” a good partner or supplier up front I would expect that Ølstykke could be the side that decides who will win the league. For my part I am happy this difficult obstacle is over.

                            Birkerød 3 v 2 Snekkersten

I had to see this game since both these teams are teams who beat us in the spring of 2009, along with Allerød. Ironically we will meet all three teams in our last three games after our game against Ølstykke tomorrow. It would seem like we have 3 mountains to climb.

1st Half:

From the start it was clear to see that Birkerød have improved from the spring of 2009. Birkerød seemed very sure of them selves and were completely in control from the start over an UN co-ordinated hard pressed Snekkersten, who defend from inside their goal area and almost invited Birkerød to shoot at goal when ever they wanted.

A fantastic Snekkersten goal keeper kept a very competent and confident Birkerød side out until t he 15th minute. Finally Birkerød scored, and now I thought the flood gates would open and Birkerød would go on to win 7 or 8 to 0. (Maybe winning the league on goal difference).

I changed my observation position from one end of the field to see closer Birkerøds attacks, because Snekkersten had not ventured  in to Birkerøds half of the pitch and all the action were happening at one end of the pitch.

From absolutely nothing, one tentative probe in to Birkerøds half of the pitch and this give Snekersten new courage to try it again and again, and before the half time whistle blew, Snekkersten were well and truly back in a game that seemed totally out of their class and reach in the first 15 minutes.

2nd Half:

Snekkersten and Birkerød continued their very open play where chances at both ends of the pitch appeared. Just when it seemed like Snekkersten were beginning to get on top of the game for the first time, Birkerød scored again to lead 2 v 0. Again I thought Birkerøds class difference would dominate from now on.

Snekkersten replied with a goal 5 minutes later 2 v 1. Game on.

The best result for us (Bagsværd) would be a Birkerød lost or drawn game. A shaken Birkerød 5 minutes later allowed Snekersten to come 100% back into a game with another Snekkersten goal.

2 v 2 after a great long diagonal ball that split Birkerøds defence. The defence had seemed indestructible up to that point.

Just when all seemed lost for Birkerød they saved the day from a corner and a good headed goal. To be honest a result deserved 3 v 2. Birkerød had a much harder game than the first 15 minutes suggested.

Birkerøds team worked and moved well for each other and over all worked harder than Snekkerstens players. Birkerøds technical ability was superior to Snekkerstens, the passing and movement was more efficient. The team included several quality players especially George? Nr 5 for Birkerød who was a total playmaker, ball winner, and technician, who played a game well over the average for his age.

Snekkersten had a team of mixed ability, with some boys of real quality working extra hard to c arry the burden of some players who would have had a difficult time getting in to our 2nd team.

Amongst the small group of clever Snekkersten players was a relative tall player with red football boots. Wrongly placed in defence he should have had more central position to counter Birkerøds play maker George. It was here that Snekkersten lost the game. Plus sending the ball forward after hard work only to see an ineffective attacker miss possession.

Snekkersten have enough talent to give us problems, however Birkerød will give us an even tougher game.

It is clear to see all the teams in Række 1 have improved vastly in the last 18 months of 7 a-sides football. There is a lot of talent out there.

           Frederikssund   2 v  7  BBK (1)

BBK (1) had a successful long evening trip to Frederikssund, where they earned the 3 points that keep them in the frame as possible contenders as “Række 1” winners. This chance only came after a sequence of unexpected results this week that kept some of our top rivals from running away with the league.

Our boys did what was expected of them. We also avoided a shock result. It was clear that Frederikssund although beaten in their previous 4 games score goals. An average of 2 or 3 goals each game.  Unfortunately their offensive style makes them very open at the back, and we quickly exploited them at the back with often a three pronged attack against often only 1 or 2 Frederikssund defenders.

At the other end of the pitch our defenders (except for a shaky period in the 2nd half) coped very well with Frederikssunds offensive play often with an extra man until our hard working midfield could come back and assist with several good last second tackles.

In short periods Frederikssund showed they can play football, but were again out played as in the Danske Bank Cup 7 v 1 defeat by a BBK (1) team which is becoming increasingly effective. Bagsværd had one poor period of 10 minutes in the 2nd half which highlighted a weakness in our play. In this period Frederikssund scored twice in succession and began to find a way into a game that seemed until then well out of their reach. We quickly moved things back to status quo and increased our lead and re-established our dominance.

Magnus and Asger both had a turn each in goal as the hunt for a steady fast goalkeeper goes on in earnest. This continues to be our achilles heal although Magnus, Asger and Felix have all been very good in this shared important role.

This goalkeeping situation I would expect to cost us points, but it seems as though we have not been compromised in our previous 4 games, and no goal keeping mistake has cost us a game.

We must also accept with patience and understanding if it does.  I think it is fantastic that these individuals are willing to help their team in a difficult situation. It,s tough in “Række 1”.

It is always nice also to see an individual player in a decisive situation make the correct choice and an even bigger pleasure if that choice is a direct consequence of a training session. Thomas J shot in to the long corner placed with a good firm inside of the foot placing was simply a pleasure. Normally Thomas J will choose power over accuracy and will either score sensationally or whack it over or in to the side net or direct to the goalkeeper.

Our reliable defenders were allowed a period further up the field away from their regular defensive duties “to be more involved in the game”. Mads had a shot at goal that the goal keeper saved only to see it pounced on by Oliver A, who followed up for a tap in, this was also something we talked about. Without being unfair to Frederikssund our boys were very creative today and unlucky not to score another 4 or 5 goals. Some of them would have been sensational if they had worked. Emil had a superb first half with 3 goals, but lucky for Frederikssund he took his foot of the gas in the 2nd half. Theis had a good period on the pitch before developing a stitch which meant a limited game for him. Frederik managed to score once and fired of 3 other shots with a maximum of two touches, something else we talked about before the game. Frederik was also in and out of the game with a slight muscle problem. William played a useful part in getting the ball forward to the midfield and shooting a couple of times from distance, especially in the first half. Thomas C also played his usual reliable skilful game always available on the wing and also helping in defence when it counted.

The only player not mentioned is our fighter Captain and Man of the Match who always leads by example again with a superb performance; he was here there and everywhere, also scoring twice. Oliver A

 Well done again boys.

SBU Række 1 Pulje 1 Årgang 2000 –
Efterår 2009

  BBK(1) 4  v  4 Farum

I have stated several times that winning SBU “Række 1” is not my priority, and developing the players and increasing our talent base has a higher priority. (With a view to the winter tournament Champions League for kids and developing a team large enough in talent for 9:9s Football)
I needed however to react this evening in a way that was not really helpful in our individual development, and in this sense took a backward step. However I make no excuses for saving a situation that could have been bad for our teams collective development and moral, in an instance were the result of a game could have had a negative effect on our, belief and enthusiasm.

Result football over development? Development over result football? This question has many more sides to it than the simplistic DBU/SBU position of football on the child’s premise cliché.

The DBU/SBU might not admit it but a team thrives most on the feel good factor of competing and having a few victories to celebrate. It is not half as interesting to the boys to be on the end of one defeat after another.(Something the DBU/SBU plans with the introduction of miss matches in an ABC leauge 2010)

1st half:

One defeat after another is what we faced tonight. I could excuse the game against Espergærde because of an over booked game program and playing one game to many in a short period. But I could not have explained this game against Farum away, especially when loosing 0 v 3 after 15 minutes, other than it is dumb to expect that a trainer can expect to move several players in to new positions, remove his strongest players from the game and hope the opposition won’t notice whilst we try to improve our personal development of our team and individuals. (When we were 0 v 3 behind, we decided again not to use the extra man, the rules say that we can use. It only hides the weak areas. We not only pulled the game back with 7 players but almost won it)

Quite simply after an horrendous sequence of defensive errors, and a very poor rate of finishing chances in front of the oppositions goal, we needed to revert back to that we know best. Our experimenting was leading us down a path of another 6 goal defeat. What fun is that for the boys?

Restoring the team’s belief and saving its honour was more important than any individuals, extra playing time, and restoring the sensible playing patterns that can beat any other team on the right day…..From now on I won’t try to fix what is not broken.

Our development will need to continue to be incremental. and not all at once consuming. Without too many changes at any one time, integration of new ideas should happen at a sensible steady pace.

This will save on communication and confusion problems on and of the pitch.

It was clear that Farum could play the ball around to each other, and had some good talented players that could change tempo, play sensible and were determined and, willing to fight for the ball and to hold a place at the top of our group.

After a very bright start by BBK(1), we should have scored five times in 5 minutes, instead a series of the poorest defensive blunders allowed Farum, to unbelievably lead 0 v 3 Farum after 15 minutes. Thoughts of the first half of the Espergærde game came back to me. Poor finishing, and a

poor defence and to many mistakes in passing from midfield, even though we had more than our share of ball possession in today’s game.

The boys were confused with all the changes. At 0 v 3 the boy’s heads began to sink and the real problem of a collapse that could lead to a shocking defeat against an Ok but nothing special Farum team was real.

This was too much for me to bear and I needed to abruptly put a stop to any new smart ideas, reverting back in stead to our optimal positional set up, it helped save the day.

If Farum shared a generous 50% of the first half leading with 3 goals, then Bagsværds BBK (1) 80% ball possession of the 2nd half was the basis of not only pulling the game back from the death but, also the basis for taking the lead 4 v 3 to Bagsværd. Although Farum also had a couple of good attempts at our goal we had more than 5 or 6 good chances to increase our lead to 5 v 3 and to kill the game. Instead one more accidental clearance fell lucky for Farum to score with 30 seconds remaining, and we must see our hopes dashed at the last moment. (Thoughts of our epic 6 v 6 BSV game again came back into my memory from the spring of 2009). We had to settle for a share of the points, but had thrown them away in the 1st half. What is impressive with our boys is they fight with their last breath for each other.

What can temper my thoughts about being disappointed over the result was an incident not picked up by the referee or my self about a disputed ball that some claimed after the game was over our goal line. That would really have spoilt our evening.

Man of the Match:  William Børup.  I decided to award this honour to William to let him know that I know he is having a difficult time with the tempo of Række 1 football and that he should not loose courage, he is heading in the right direction.

Felix our goalkeeper today should also have a special mention and thank you for helping us. Felix looks good in goal.  Great courage and determination was shown by all well done boys.

Who scored I lost track – email ?

Ågang 2000 Efterår 2009 Bagsværd BBK(1)

7/9/09
BBK(1)
  1  v  6  Espergærde
SBU Række 1 Pulje 1

If one team over the last 18 months of 7 a-side football has consistently been in around or on top of each tournament finishing either 1st or second it has been Espergærde, along with very few others, for example Greve.

If one team has consistently been a thorn in Espergærdes backside it has been us, beating them 4 out of 5 previous meetings. SBU række twice, the AB Cup and Nørhalne “elite”.

Espergærde need to go all the way back to the Chevrolet CupFinal to recall their last win over us.

Incredible when one thinks about how few teams actually beat them.

Tonight we met our rivals (and friends) again and I made the mistake of expecting we could just turn up and do it again. (When ever it suited us).

As a prelude to the game we only did exercises to relax our muscles and tired legs, saving every drop of energy for when the game started. Fresh from 2hrs and 20 minutes football the day before, and feeling indestructible after we won the Danske Bank Cup with 7 wins in a row and fresh from a super hard game and a 4 v 5 victory against BSV the day before the Danske Bank Cup, we crashed down to earth again with a bump and a reality check.

I realistically thought we had enough fire power to take the game to Espergærde in the first half and if tiredness began to show its self we could hold on, we had a full compliment of 10 players (3 substitutes) so it was game on!

The heavy congested game program was directly a consequence of finding a date we could agree on after we (Bagsværd) needed to move the game (twice) because of different school activities. In the end I was just grateful that Espergærde could offer us another date. So I thank them again for their help and co-operation.

The game was strange in the sense that we played our best football late in the game and appeared most tired at the start, the opposite to what one might have expected. Early signs of fatigue showed firstly in defence with a lack of concentration and willingness to tackle, often lacking commitment and speed to stop the sharp forward play of Espergærdes attacks.

It looked as though from the start it was not going to be our day. It seemed like Espergærde might score every time they went forward. At the same time our attacks were broken up by quicker reacting Espergærde defenders. Far too many times inside the Espergærde box we took to many touches of the ball only to see a great chance wasted. Bagsværd also had several long shots that had the power but not the accuracy, if just one or two of them were on target. (They were all on target the day before in the Danske Bank cup… ask BSV Pantere, BSV Pumare, Værløse, Frederikssund, Farum and Skoveshoved with a goal diffrence of 35 - 5.)

At 0 v 4 we had used great energy reserves up with trying to win the ball back after far too many long ball passes from the midfield went to the opposition. Running at the opposition with the ball to feet and playing small combinations was simply too much for our midfield today. When we did it we were dangerous.

Despite all this we measure our standard of play relative to ourselves, and we had several more shots at goal than Espergærde and were hit by counter attacks rather than being held back in our own half.

Espergærde were simply sharper in everything they done today.

Its amazing what a lift a goal can give and Bagsværd for the last 15 minutes played more like the team we know best., Although we some how found new reserves of strength and pride that carried our tired legs forward  at 1 v 4 I thought it possible we might see an Espergærde collapse.

Espergærde effectively killed of our small hope of a revival with a run of counter attacks against our thin covered defence as we pushed forward, to score another twice.

It would be a mistake for any of our opposition looking in to think Bagsværd will be easy!

Expect a mega bounce back by Bagsværd.

We have decided to cancel training on Wednesday to use our Danske Bank Cup prize, a trip to the cinema (Biograf).

Man of the match ….. Asger  (for his energy level).

Many of my boys are playing in the Semi-Final of the SchoolsCup on Thursday – good luck !

(The school trainer has a ready made team).

Thank you to all the boys, it has been a great weekend and i was impressed how you fought all the way against Espergærde ,even when it looked hopeless.

A fresh Bagsværd team would have had a difficult game against Espergærde, who were sharp in all areas, but without being disrespectful to Espergæde I think BSV are stronger physically and are equal in technical ability. It should be an interesting game.

We also held to our agreement befor the game with Espergærde NOT to use the extra man rule if one team is 3 goals behind, although I must admit that in this instance it might have been wise to do so, not because it might have changed the result , but to relieve the work load on tired legs.

SBU Række 1 Pulje 1  Efterår 2009 -  Årgang 2000   U/10

BSV 4  v  5  BBK(1)

So began another round of SBU football, with several familiar teams known already to our year group, plus a few relatively new unknown teams in our top group in the best SBU division.

With a late start in relation to our opponents, BSV, had already played 3 games and have a healthy

7 points, from two victories and 1 drawn game. Before we had even kicked a ball in the SBU.

In the spring of 2009 we dropped two crucial points to a great fighting BSV, who ensured themselves a share of the points with a last kick of the ball to close a 5 v 2 Bagsværd lead, and to end the game with a thrilling 6 v 6 fight back.

We expected and received a hard tough game with the early league leaders.

With my focus this year, not completely on winning Række 1 Pulje 1, but on developing our troop for my main focus of attention The Champions League for Kids in the coming winter months, I allowed my self several changes in my own approach. Positional and not least a change in style. It sounds complicated but the short and long is we are in a process of development that might mean going backwards a little, before we go forward again. Even at the sacrifice of a few results.

Our focus of attention in the latest time has also been centred on a series of Cup tournaments in the year group 99 and year group 2000, with the SBU having a lesser priority. However I must admit 10 minutes before kick off the adrenalin was pumping and now we were here we might as well try and win this SBU game.

If I was not 100% fired up at least the boys were.

1st half:

The captain, Oliver and dynamic wing player Thomas J started on the side line with Asger.

Recalled Frederik and newly promoted William B were allowed an undisturbed first half, to show themselves in key positions on the pitch. Frederik repaid this trust with an equalising goal on the back post after a bright and lively start by BSV. They had taken an early lead with some penetrating good wing play on the right wing which overlapped a busy Theis in defence. 1 v 1 BSV.

William B seemed very unsure about what or where he should be or do in a central position; however in the last 15 minutes of this half he became more involved, also shooting from distance to nearly beat their keeper. It is also the meaning to give such boys experience in something new.

BSV had the best chances and were unlucky not to lead 4 v 1 in the 1st half. However as Bagværd came more into a rhythm we had a stroke of luck. Oliver newly on the pitch pressed hard their very competent defence player to force a back pass that beat his own goal keeper, a very unlucky own goal that lifted our boys and deflated theirs. 2 v 2 BBK(1)

2nd half: Our team had done what I hoped they would do in the first half keeping the score very respectful. The first half set up had absorbed the best BSV could offer. Now I set up the team in its almost optimal set up. As expected we came to quickly overtake the balance of play and stole ahead for the first time in the game with an Emil shot from 15 metres.2 v 3 BBK(1). Now I knew this would get Emil going into 5th gear and he was dynamic in the 2nd half. Many chances fell to Bagsværd , and we took some of them, but not before a determined BSV equalised to 3 v 3 BSV.

Thoughts of the 6 v 6 game from the spring of 2009 kept coming back. I knew they never give up and even when we took the lead through a Thomas C goal to 3 v 4 BBK(1) and another Emil blast to 3 v 5 BBK(1) I did not feel safe. Shortly after followed by an open BBK(1) miss and a very controversial BSV goal?4 v 5 I thought it was happening again and history was repeating its self. What added to our nervous disposition was an increasingly unfair Referee doing everything in his power to give the home team a way back into a game that had slipped away from them more than once. I needed to stop some of my otherwise peaceful parent group from complaining too much. With 3 minutes over (in each half of the game) finally after a lifetime he needed blow his whistle (It was getting dark).

These negative comments over BSV, s dubious home referee does not detract from the super efforts made by both sets of boys. Everyone on the pitch gives a 100% and both BSV and BBK(1) showed of all their talent in a great advert for our year group at its best.

I don’t mean to be hard on BSV but I feel we marginally deserved to win this game on the second half performance.

But I am sure BSV will think that they deserved to win in the 1st half. We were however more involved in the 1st half than BSV were involved in the 2nd half.

Man Of the Match….. Emil 2 goals

Goals                      ….. Frederik 1 …. Thomas C 1   Own goal 1

Magnus had also a very good game in the goal and seemed very competant. Mads and Thomas J also recieved belated
2008 Fair play and Years player trophies. Tillykke !

Allerød Række 1 pulje 1 Forårs Champions 2009

SBU 7:7
Række 1 / Pulje 1
Fredag. d. 5. juni 2009

Snekkersten-AFK: 2-2 (2-0)

"The Come Back Kids"

                             BBK(1) 2 v 4 Snekkersten
Heavy in the legs after our tough tour to the Nørhalne Cup where we played 6 full games in 3 days, today we met a side who have everything to fight for in the league. Our own chances of winning the leauge had dissapeared with Allerøds win over Virum Sorgenfri on the day we returned from Nørhalne. We actually played reasonably well, but lacked the sharpness required to win such a game. Concentration and focus on the final ball delivery, shot at goal, tackling and initiative all lacked a fresh approach.
Several players failed to play optimal .Despite our own problems we had most of the play and came to several shots at goal which nearly all were aimed directly to the oppositions goalkeeper. We also hit the bar and post and shot wide of the goal posts several times. Snekkerstens goal keeper only really needed to make one fantastic save, otherwise we made it all to easy for him.
In return we allowed Snekkersten back into the game after we dominated the first 20 minutes and lost our 1 v 0 lead to an unchallenged run at goal to bring it back to 1 v 1. Shortly after we scored again to 2 v 1 and i felt that despite we were not playing our best game we anyway had good control over the game.
I could not see that we could loose this game despite Snekkersten having the wind in their backs in the second half. Shortly after an unchallenged header allowed Snekkersten back in to the game again against the run of play from a corner 2 v 2.
Frustrated that we had not put the game out of reach and deciding that ending in 2nd 3rd 4th or 5th place was irrelevant i wrecklessly changed over to an attack formation , moving my sweeper up the field as an attacker.
This decision might have handed the leauge on a silver plate to Snekkersten who now had chances to score in a game that they had not had earlier. We were hit with a doubble counter attack in the last 5 minutes to dissapointingly see Snekkersten take all 3 points. I can understand why they celebrated after the game... their hopes live on, and our season is over.
An analysis of our season will follow shortly and i expect by the seasons end we will be in a 4th or 5th place in Sjællands toughest division and group. less than this and we should be dissapointed.

                             Greve 9 v 5 Bagsværd
(Sjællands Champions 2008)
The game was a very open affair with action at both ends of the field, I expected a more disciplined tighter game from both teams, but it just developed along the lines of attack and counter attack. The score would suggest that Greve had most of the play, but it was not like that,. We (BBK 1) had at least 50% if not more of the play with very good work across the midfield. Our finishing was fine and i won,t complain about scoring 5 goals against the 2008 Sjællands Champions Greve.
Unfortunatly for us Greve,s finishing was deadly, and mistakes in our defence were heavily punished,.
At this level concentration and focus on detail is important through out the whole game. And the goals against come in the 25% of the game were we miss that concentration. Without a doubt we could have cut down 50% of their goal tally if we had just been a little bit quicker to react in some decisive moments.
Greves strongest point was that they work hard to pull back behind the ball when we go forward and are quick on the counter attack.
However i was not impressed by the boring tactic of leaving an attacker in what would be an offside position in an 11 a-side game. What difficulties will that boy have in understanding what he is doing is wrong one day in the not to distant future, when he has to play the off-side rule and is not allowed to fish.
To win at all costs ? in a trainings game ?. I,m not over impressed with Greve and believe on another day and with better training to take the disruptive  "Fishers" out of the play we will beat them.
The (new) Frederik played well at left back, and was my biggest experiment today throwing him into a high profil game like this (Without seeing him play a match before). Frederik is definitly a boy one can work with and one i will be intrested to see again. Well done boys , we will not meet any  stronger oppositin on our tour to Nørhalne (on papir). So I,m sure we have nothing to fear, even though we are missing to regular players.

The nightmare of last weeks performance against Birkerød was also importantly dead and buried. Asger who was injured before this game was his usual energetic self today with only a large blue and yellow bruise to show there had been a problem.

                      Gladsaxe Hero 2 v 3 Allerød
Who can stop Allerød who take first place in division 1 after defeating last seasons champions Gladsaxe Hero. Gladsaxe Hero in the fist half had at least 6 clear chances and many times were 4 against 2. They really should have finished the game in the 1st half.
Deservedly Gladsaxe Hero scored a well earned goal from one of their endless attacks against an Allerød side who had no answer to the constant pressure.
Allerød with only 8 players looked like a team ready to be slaughted in the 2nd half.
 2 Half:
Without explanation Aram Allerøds secret weapon turned the game around when he suddenly came to life along with Allerøds substitute and the rest of Allerøds team, now they looked like a team who would turn it around. After a long period of Allerød pressure Gladaxe Hero, clearly lacking confidence as a team under pressure and Allerød finaly scored a well earned equalizer 1 v 1 Allerød. Wthin a few minutes and Gladsaxe Hero (now) against the run of play frustrated Allerøds great fight back with a very lucky shot that bounced awkwardly past Allerøds goalkeeper. With time running out Allerød constantly bombarded Gladsaxe Hero who again collapsed to allow Allerød an important equalizer (and the result that suited Bagsværd best) with a great goal that was shot in from an acute angle.
To Gladsaxe Hero,s shock (but no surprise to me) Allerød again had Champion winning form luck on their side with another last minut winner as they had against us. Only once have i seen  Allerød play a whole game without being completly under pressure for at least one half. Take away the last second goal against us and Gladsaxe and they would have a 4th place with 8 points and not a 1st place with 12 points.
But it will have to be a very good team to beat them if Allerød play well for both the 1st and 2nd halfs of their remaining games.
Gladsaxe are having a run of bad luck after we defeated and knocked them out of the Chevrolet Cup in the winter. Up to that point they looked unbeatable, but now they will have to give way in my ranking list to a new 7 mands team riding their luck in their debut season. Allerød ... well done.

  BOTTOM BIRKERØD BURST BAGSVÆRDS BUBBLE!

                            Birkerød 2 v 1 BBK(1)

I’m sure my increasingly large match rapport fan club are burning to hear about how high flying Bagsværd were shot down by a flock of farmers (bonderøvers).

1st Half:

During our warm up procedure before the game Asger nearly knocked Mads out cold when Asger smashed his head into Mad, s head. Asger therefore had to sit the game out with a shocking bump, the size of an egg on his forehead, already down to 8 players before we started! And a very shaky Mads bravely wishing to continue.

I’ve seen many bumps on the head (also had a few) but this one Ov!? Asger wanted to play and claimed he couldn’t feel it, but I could, t take the chance, although we needed him. Rie was the first to react quickly fetching an ice pack. It was just before deciding to send him to hospital, it was three dimensional and the size of an egg, but luckily it was on the forehead and not on his temple.

Remembering that we only had 8 players against Allerød which affected the outcome, I decided to change our tactics at the last moment, deciding to send our defensive midfielder up in to attack and hoped we could come in front early in the game and defend if we were tired in the second half, a draw was no good, we needed a win to put pressure on the other teams who are all trying to catch us up. I told the boys to expect as tough a game against bottom team Birkerød and fight for everything as they had heroically against Allerød, Espergærde and Gladsaxe Hero/Virumsorgen fri

(Secretly I was already looking forward to the next deciding game against Snekkersten).

I think confusion was the key word to our new formation and even bringing our defensive midfield player back in to position, did not help stabilise us. Instead of us taking the game to Birkerød, Birkerød took the game to us. They won most of the 50/50 balls they played each other sensibly, they backed each other up, they moved for each other, and most of all they helped each other always having two players on to one of ours. Birkerød fought for each other against us like we done for each other against Espergærde.

Luckily we could finish the half with 0 v 0.  2 v 0 Birkerød would have been a fairer refection of the game, at that point.

2nd Half:

After a supersonic blast from the trainer (me) “I expected them to go out the second half and storm in over Birkerød and put them well and truly in their place. They should be fresh because they had not even started to play. (I really regretted this action, and only the next day had it occurred to me that all the boys were in a mild state of shock over Asger…. It is not an excuse but a reality) It shocked us adults, so why shouldn’t it affect these youngsters. It would also explain their reluctance for strong tackling today, and a lack of concentration.

Birkerød scored from a strong solo effort on their right flank pushing aside the weak challenges, one after another. 1 v 0 Birkerød. At the other end we could not find place or each other in an increasingly packed Birkerød defence. We continued our many passing mistakes, we were static and we were only marginally better than in the first half, but eventually we fought our way back in to the game as we threw everything forward. A draw was no good! It was an all or nothing situation.

With six minutes remaining and Birkerød now pushed back all the time in the last ten minutes, we were rewarded for our tenacity. Thomas C found the net to equalize 1 v 1 BBK(1) With the last cast of the dice we had no choice but to attack, attack, attack. Birkerød who never accepted any kind of dominance from us made it as difficult as it could be tackling and fighting for every ball. Birkerød after a tough second half for them selves had the break they deserved with a one on one against Simon, /goalkeeper Bagsværd (Who stayed glued to his goal line).
2 v 1Birkerød. In the dying minutes Simon saved to other one on ones, shortly afterwards.

I asked the Birkerød trainer if he had used any of the players from their other division 1 team in another group who are clearly winning that group,. He reassured me he had not! So I simply could not understand how they have lost their 3 other games.

If he had used some of their other division 1 players that is perfectly ok with me, they have not done anything wrong, it would just better explain the unexpected.

The referee was very good and fair, but needs a whistle for his birthday. (The one he has does not work)

Lessons to be learnt: Always expect the unexpected .

In a strange way it is a relief that the high intensity pressure is of me and the boys, and now we can begin to think and focus on our preparations to Nørhalne “Elite” tour next week. ( Im sure some of the boys thoughts were already at Nørhalne today as the excitment builds up)

Whatever happens now in our last game we have already made a good account of ourselves in Sjællands most difficult division and group. (Except for today) Not the best preparation for our trainings game against “Sjællands Champions” Greve on Sunday.

After “Greve” and after Nørhalne and the last SBU game against Snekkersten we have the AB Cup, and after this we can concentrate on our restructuring plans with an A and B troop, over the summer.

It could be that we take time out to focus more on our development as a troop and come a little bit away from this high intensity play and standard we have set for ourselves, by opting out of the pressure cooker called “Række 1 Pulje 1” in the Autumn of 2009.

I will examine other possibilities after AB Pinser Cup and decide after this. We need a broader troop to give more depth, and time to find another goalkeeper or two that can be trained up before Autumn 2009.

Well done Birkerød for a well earned 3 points and to Bagsværd for an improved 2 Half.

The last thought of the day is not that Birkerød have destroyed our hopes of first place but with Asger (and Mads) get well soon ! We have the SjællandChampions to face on Sunday:

Little Allerød Chop BSV Giants Down

                                   Allerød 5 v 2 BSV
Having lost points to both teams at the start of the season with a last minute defeat and a last minute draw I was curious to see them play each other, and could not decide what was the best result in relation to us, now that we have fought our way back in to the leading group.

In relation to us and our position this result was probably the best result. Now all the teams in the group have lost at least 1 game.

As I judge the different teams and their form in relation to each other it is quite possible Allerød can be stopped by either Snekkersten or Gladsaxe Hero, BSV after today’s performance can also loose again. The two main threats in this group are Snekkersten and mostly Espergærde. The only team I think that has a chance to stop Espergærde is Gladsaxe Hero, or for Espergærde to draw, would be good for us.

All this speculation is irrelevant however if we do not win our two remaining games. If all the results go right for us, when we come back from our Nørhalne tour, 3 days after, we could be facing a winner takes all situation with Snekkersten.

Espergærde, Bagsværd, Snekkersten is my realistic forecast with Espergærde having the easiest remaining games.

1st Half:

Only when you stand at the side of the pitch as a neutral observer can it be clearly noticed how small Allerøds team is, in relation to the big boys of BSV. But it was quickly apparent that Allerød could also play football with some of their clever little technicians. They remind me very much of Virum Sorgenfri.

We in comparison have both little and large boys and lay in between both these teams extremes. Allerøds two largest players their goalkeeper and Abra a player who plays both in defence and attack through the middle, is the difference that makes them a winning team in relation to Virum sorgenfri who lack power up front and a goalkeeper.

With the wind in their backs Allerød needed to be in front by 2 or 3 goals by half time, to counter the physically taller boy’s strength and the wind that would be blowing directly in to them in the second half. The first half was open with both teams trying to get the advantage. It was clear to see Allerød had more control and discipline over their defence, with two players always in their own half of the pitch. Their neat play and movement was rewarded by a goal to lead 1 v 0 Allerød. Before half time and a well struck free kick carried by the wind sailed in to give 2 v 0 Allerød. 1 v 1 could have been possible if BSV had been more clinical in front of goal.

2nd Half:

The expected BSV pressure on Allerød never materialised until the last 10 minutes of the game. Allerød sensibly trained to keep the ball at grass level simply played themselves out of danger time after time, and exploited BSVs very very exposed defence, to come even further in front. At times it must be said it was as if BSV had completely forgot to how to defend. (If they have at all learnt to defend)

In the last ten minutes BSV came strongly back with several corners a wild flurry of half hit shots, a neat cross and headed goal give BSV new courage and their continued pressure with 8 players on the field was rewarded late in to the game with another goal, but it was all a case of “To little to late” for BSV.

As a neutral observer I could understand how Allerød scored some goals (but not 5) against us.

But I was left completely reassured why we scored 6 against BSV and left with a feeling of shock that this BSV could score 6 against us…. They simply must have had at least 3 or 4 different players on the field to the game they played against us. My hopes that BSV can stop Espergærde disappeared totally today. If BSV had scored earlier in the game everything might have looked different, because it was very noticable how their attitude changed after they scored.
How can a team like BSV play so well in the second half against us and play so badly today. Allerød were clearly the better team today but I expect that Gladsaxe Hero and Snekkersten can take both of them, Allerød and BSV.

Every game is like a Cup Final !

Bagsværd Blitz! Top Team Espergærde

                                   BBK(1) 4 v 1 Espergærde

To be an elite team and to fight for a top place a team has to beat other teams of high quality, and today’s Bagsværd victory puts an end to a very impressive Espergærde record of wins and draws, that by my calculations must include 7 games in the autumn 2008, (SBU Pulje winners) + 3 games (u-official Sjællands Championship – (loosing out to Greve on goal difference.) 7 wins in the Chevrolet Cup (including the 5 v 4 win over us in the Final) 2 wins in the 2009 SBU and 3 undefeated games in the DGI 2009 up to date.

Espergærde 22 games undefeated before today’s crunch game, and the best for us is that they have nothing to complain about, (Although their trainer complained any way not happy about this or that). Our hard work in front of our goal limited Espergærdes clear chances to an absolute minimum, although the game still offered plenty of action at both ends, it was Bagsværd who played themselves to the best and most clear chances, and it was Bagsværd who’s, luck had returned after dropping 5 points in the opening 3 games. Today we cashed in on our chances whilst Simon except for one great save in the 2 half , easily dealt with Espergærdes combination play towards our goal that just did,t work today. Their luck run out!

In the last two games we have beaten SBU 2008 Bronze and Silver teams GladsaxeHero and Espergærde… It should be a very interesting trainings game against Greve  Sjællands Champions on the 17th Maj.

Two games back it looked like we had a mountain to climb, but our boys have risen like a phoenix from the ashes to fight their way back in to the chase to finish nr 1 in Sjællands best division and group.

1st Half: A lively and bright start by Bagsværd already in the opening minutes resulted in a Thomas J shot at goal which should have found the net in the long corner, instead he opted for the near post, hitting it and not the net. Oh no! not that type of game I thought and just one minute later and we had a perfect cross from Thomas J that fell gift wrapped to Frederik who found the net from 5 metres.1 v 0 BBK(1). The rest of the 1 half went backwards and forwards, with Esprgærde often taking advantage of some poor Bagsværd passing to set up several attacks that all lacked that finishing power, and were constantly denied of the final clear shot by good hard work from our defenders Mads, Theis and Asger. All these played a major role in our victory today. All finally understanding what I showed them again, in detail in training on Wednesday.

At 1 v 0 and defending a series of corners it has to be said we won every duel in the air, but these chances were still Espergærdes best chances to score.

The midfield battle raged on, and we also won a fair share of the duels here setting up some good attacks. Our second goal 1 minute before the end of 1st half , came from a speculative long shot from Oliver  that Thomas C pounced on after a rebound from the goalkeeper

  2 v 0 BBK(1).

2nd Half: Espergærde now built up some good attacks; attacks were we had a difficult time getting a foot in, to block their build up and possession. From their best period in the game and a long distance strike, Espergærde found themselves deservedly back in the game 2 v 1 BBK(1). A discreet tactical change with Oliver and Emil changing roles again as they done a few times in the Gladsaxe game and the best resources from both boys were used to maximum. We began to get possession again and to find each other again creating good chances. Espergærde, soon found themselves 2 goals behind again as Thomas J smashed one in
3 v 1 BBK(1). Towards the end of the game Thomas C scored an identical goal to seal a special win over one of Denmarks best teams.
4 v 1 BBK(1) Result  (What does that say about us?)

BEAT GLADSAXE

IN ANOTHER  BIG LOCAL CLASH OF SUPREMACY

Gladsaxe Hero 4  v  7 Bagsværd

Last autumn 2008 group winners and Sjællands bronze team, Gladsaxe Heros dominance of local football was crushed by Bagsværd, again, who followed up on their winter victory over Gladsaxe Hero in the Chevrolet Cup 8 v 3. Sweet revenge for last years double defeat of Bagsværd in both the Dansk Bank Cup Final 0 v 1 and not least  the equivelant league game last autumn 2008 which ended in a 3 v 6 win by Gladsaxe Hero, who won the group over second place Bagsværd.

Even if Gladsaxe go on to win the league again this year, we will be a big thorn in their side, (backside), that they will not forget.

I took my biggest gamble (ever) tonight after 15 minutes play which typical of our games against Gladsaxe Hero and typical of our other high scoring games already stood at 2 v 2, after 15 minutes. Oliver our most effective goal scorer was moved in to a defensive position and Emil moved to offensive midfield (A reversal of roles). We needed to stop all the goals flying in against us as they have done in the last 3 crazy games. Emil proved it was the correct decision and scored not less than 4 goals (5,not counting a disallowed headed goal.) At the same time Gladsaxe Heros goal chances dropped dramatically as Gladsaxe Heroes most effective patrneship of Karim og Emil (GHs Emil) were cut of from each other.
I had done my home work on Gladsaxe Hero viewing their game against Virum Sorgenfri 3 days before, We held these two players in check whilst allowing ourselves attack possibilities.
A team should always play to its, own strenghs, and the individuals ability, but it helps to know your opponents also.

0 v 1 BBK(1)  Frederik

1 v 1 GH

2 v 1 GH

2 v 2 BBK(1)   Emil

2 v 3 BBK(1)

3 v 3 GH          Emil

3 v 4 BBK(1)   Controversial fantastic headed (Emil) goal 1 metre over the goal line disallowed ?

(Absolutly everyone seen the goal keeper scoop the ball out of the net, except the referee.)

3 v 4 BBK(1)   Own goal ... credited Oliver

A check with the referee and now there were only 3 minutes remaining.
4 v 4 GH

4 v 5 BBK(1)   Emil

4 v 6 BBK(1)   Emil

4 v 7 BBK(1)   Thomas J

Fears of a Gladsaxe hero last second victory as Allerød 5 v 4 done to us or fears of a last second BSV equalizer 6 v 6 again, meant that a defeat or draw would have effectively knocked us out of contention as pulje winners. Now we live to fight another day. At  4 v 4 and with 1 disallowed goal not counting in our favour it was understandable that, I feared the worst.

Our luck however had finally changed and the boys stormed home with a  record 3 quick goals to close the game and settle my nerves, what a nerve shattering 3 minutes and after effect relief, and what fighter attitude we showed with a totally deserved victory. We had at least 60% of ball possesion

FANTASTISK  INDSATS DRENGE ! FANTASTISK !

BBK(1)

Simon, Theis , Mads, Asger, Frederik, Thomas J, Thomas C, Emil, Magnus, Oliver.

Goals:    Emil 4,   Frederik 1,   Thomas J,   (+ 1 GH own goal…credited to an Oliver free kick at goal)

HARD WORKING VIRUM BEATEN BY  LAZY HERO

                         Virum Sorgenfri 3 v 7 Gladsaxe Hero
1st Half
Virum Sorgenfri started the game at a high tempo and completly controlled the first 15 minutes of the game, Gladsaxe were pushed back and had to with stand constant corners ,and moving active Virum Sorgenfri players who backed each other up constantly. Virum Sorgenfris players were lively and enegetic.
At this stage i was thankfull we beat them and would rather face Gladsaxe Hero than Virum Sorgenfri again.
Suddenly after a single move forward Gladsaxe Hero stole a goal at the other end, 100% against the run of play, Emil (GH) looked dangerouse! 0 v 1 Gladsaxe Hero.

Virum continued to show good character and good ball possesion, but despite their several attacking moves it was again Gladsaxe hero who stole another goal to lead at half time 0 v 2 Gladsaxe Hero. At this point a defensive Karim (GH) had virtually been out of the game and showed little of the class he has, although he began to wake up with the rest of the Gladsaxe Hero side in the second part of the first half, after they scored twice.
2nd Half.
O v 2 Gladsaxe Hero: Now
a 50/50 more open game resulted in Gladsaxe scoring twice for each following Virum Sorgenfri goal, In the last 10 minutes Virum Sorgenfri  again found new energy to finish very strongly dominating Gladsaxe Hero.
But now the damage was done.
Some of the goals against Virum Sorgenfri should not have happened if the goal keeper (VS) had been more determined. Later in the game when he was changed over to play outfield he showed himself to be a very determined and usefull defender, and probably could be the player to give Virum Sorgenfri that power they badly lacked in front of goal ,at the other end of the field. Virum Sogenfri clearly lacked fire power to finish of some of their really good football.
In return Gladsaxe Heroes finishing was deadly and most of their attacks give a prize. They were most effective when Karim(GH) pushed forward, feeding it to Emil (GH) or taking a chance himself. When Karim pushed forward suddely Virum Sorgenfri looked very vunerable in defence with only thin cover with several 3 against 2 attacks.
If i can be so cheeky to give a bit of advice to Carsten and Virum Sorgenfri, it would be to drop the idea of two 1st division teams., Find a striker and goalkeeper from the other Virum Sorgenfri 1st division team., Make an even stronger 1st team, and a 2nd team in division 2, and use that as your starting point. Then you won,t loose games like this today or against us (or at least be able to limit the damage and put your opposition under real effective pressure with goals.) If they can do this in time they can still take points from the other good teams they will meet, otherwise it will be just more of the same. 3 v 6 / 3 v 7 ect
An intresting game, and i look forward to Wednesday and another epic battle with Gladsaxe Hero.

       BSVBOMB! BAGSVÆRDS PLANS
WITH THE LAST KICK OF THE MATCH

               Bagsværd (BBK 1)   6 v 6    BSV

It was our first home game of the season and the first time we meet BSV in a 7 a-side league game, w ith our year 2000 team. We have previously always beaten them easily in the mini tournaments o ver the last 18 months/2 years. However BSV are a big club who always play at the higher levels, it was just a question of time before they get themselves organised. Today we must admit to ourselves that they are another team who have closed the gap on us and the leading top teams of last year.

How have BSV closed the gap between them and us? Firstly BSV have nearly double as many boys to select a team from (and that helps!). They also play double so many games in a competitive spring and autumn season. BSV, Espergærde, and Snekkersten, from our SBU division 1 group also play in a parallel competition organised by another football union the DGI. (The more games a nd the more experience the quicker their development, and they appear not to have a problem with it conflicting with family life and visits to the summer house)… It is here where depth and quality in the “ troop “ system is important ( a troop can usually consist of 15/16 boys … in 7 a-side team, as opposed to a fast 10 players system as we have at the moment !!!!) Tours like the Nørhalne tour are therefore very important to a little club like ours to develop these "Troop" ideas and give greater playing time and invaluable experience to the players, if we are to remain competative and near the top.

Other top teams from last autumn’s season 2008 have decided to play in the year group above them,

For example Greve (un-official Sjællands champions 2008) and Vallensbæk now play in Division 3 i n the year 1999 group. Here they hope to improve their physical skills because their technical skills are relatively advanced. Vallensbæk for my evaluation get nothing out of playing in Division 3.

If we done it I would expect we came in at Division 2 level…. It is something I seriously think about we might also do in the autumn of 2009. An alternative would be to try the DGI which nationally covers all Denmark and not just Sjælland. What ever I feel the need for the team/troop to develop along new and more creative lines and to take the heat and tension out of the “Shit or Bust” gladiator arena of the very intensive 7 games short SBU season. The short and long is that the team who drops five points in 3 games has not an earthy chance of winning the group, even though they play really well, it’s nearly over before it has began.

2 years ago it was normal to play 10 games in the spring and 10 in the autumn, however many smaller clubs (like ours) had difficulties with cancellations and conflict with family life, and it was therefore seen to be wise by the SBU (Sjælland Ball Union) to cut down the number of games played in a season. (Some families still think that 7 games are too much…and interfere with their other priorities). I am not complaining here!(I am really) I am just taking a reality check, and assessing the best way forward,

Now that it seems unlikely that we can finish at the top, in a way it takes the pressure and expectations I put on myself and the team away… It does not mean we won’t try to win, but it’s not important! (When the chance is there of course we have to give it a try…I can not believe i have said all that... bullshit , i hope i believe it!)

1st Half: BSV had several good chances in the first 10/15 minutes and BBK (1) although taking an early lead and leading through out the whole match where often pressed hard by a resolute technically good and physically strong BSV team.

2nd Half: At 4 v 2 the games next goal seemed important and it fell to BBK (1) 5 v 2 BSV. We should have sailed home without any problems but a BSV goal to 5 v 3 put the nerves in to play (although it should not have) 5 v 4 and now we looked unsure, We replied instantly to 6 v 4 BBK(1) with a solo run from the centre spot. Surely the victory was now in our grasp. BSV had other ideas and did not loose their courage 6 v 5 and an Asger sending of for a bad tackle (from behind) and a dramatic free kick from the edge of the box and BSV got their deserved point.
6 v 6 BSV. Our boys giv it everything and I can not expect more. We again missed several good chances, but scored 6? (And still did not win)

Man of the Match Asger: For his fighter attitude.

Goals:    Oliver        (his usual 2 or 3)

Frederik     another 2 following his Virum game

Thomas J:  adding another 1 to his impressive tally.

We had a set back today, that should not have happened and could have been avoided. After a win over a strong Virumsorgenfri two days before, we came up against another good technical side, who also had a couple of very large year group 2000  boys mixed in with them to give them a little extra power in midfield.
1 Half:
With a breeze in our backs we were unable to take advantage of our several attempts at goal, until Oliver A shot hard and low from left to right to beat a very competent Allerød goalkeeper 0v1 BBK(1). Allerød also had several overlapping attacks on one of our wings that we had great difficulty dealing with, changing the players around in the middle of defence didn’t help us either and Allerød made good with 3 goals out of about 5/6 chances on goal. At this point we had at least as many chances as Allerød but failed to take advantage. 3 v 1 Allerød seemed to me like a hard score line at half time.
2 Half:
Now I was concerned that we would have a very difficult time in the second half missing the "advantage"? of the strong breeze (That we were not able to benefit from in the first half). The next goal could be critical. We had used much of our collective energy by the end of the 1st half with only 1 substitute available on the day of this Division 1 league game. Two regular players were not available Frederik and Asger and our rock in defence Emil reported sick with a 39+ fever, 2 hours before kick off.
On short notice William B who should have played for the 2nd team at the same time was allowed to play for us by Torben his team leader.
(To my relief the 2nd team won without William 6 v 4).William made mistakes like the rest of the team, but the overall impression I have of William is that he has come one step closer to being a first team player.
His willingness and tackling strength are something I can work with and he is always available when called on. (However his discipline and positional play will need to tighten up).
Against expectations and with Magnus out of action with a worrying blow to his windpipe, BBK(1) again showed fantastic character and against all odds began to press Allerød nearly all the way until the last 5 minutes. The boys fought for everything they could and Allerød with their 10 available players looked weaker and weaker as the game went on. Allerød won the first half 3 v 1 and we won the 2nd half 2 v 3.
It has to be said  Bagsværd had enough chances to win the game twice " but we lacked that last moments concentration and focus that is a result of being tired and giving everything in tackles and dribbling and missing composure and strength at the critical point of shooting at goal.
All the boys give everything they could for each other today and are united in defeat as they are in victory...... We lost three points, not because we did not try and not because Allerød were better than us but because we ran out of gas. Allerøds last goal and only their second attempt at goal in the second half happened because nobody had the energy left to go back and stop Allerøds goal scrounger from slotting home from 2 metres in front of our goal from a long pass in the last minute, what a dissapointment for our boys who fought like heroes to bring it back to 4 v 4. It would have been good timing to make a double substitution in the last 5 minutes.... If we could have! We could have at least come home with a more than well deserved point. Well done boys you were fantastic throughout the game, speceily in the 2nd half.
0 v 1 BBK (1)- scorer Oliver A     BBK
1 v 1 Allerød
2 v 1 Allerød
3 v 1 Allerød
3 v 2 Allerød -scorer Thomas C    BBK
4 v 2 Allerød
4 v 3 Allerød - scorer-Oliver A      BBK
4 v 4 BBK (1) - scorer Thomas J,  BBK
5 v 4 Allerød (last minute)
The referee was very good today but should have stopped play instantly Magnus took a blow to his wind pipe... every body shouted for him to stop play, but he was very slow to react.
Man of the Match: Theis woke up from his deep sleep against Virumsorgenfri and a long Easter holiday to make a very useful contribution when it was needed most.

STEVEN FINALY GETS ONE OVER CARSTEN

Virumsorgenfri 3 v 6   BBK( 1)
This spring seasons opening game was not only a significant triumph for our hard working team, but a personal historic event for me.
Carsten Basse (Virumsorgenfris clever træner) is an old rival of mine who I have had several duels with in the past and lost nearly all.(Exceptfor the very early days)
At that time his other son Mikkel Basse was playing against my other son William in the year group of
1996
.( Both boys are still rivals with their respective "elite" teams AB and Lyngby) Although my Bagsværd 96 team at the time played also in division 1 as we do now, there were 2 teams who ruled supreme Virum and AB and year after year both teams beat nearly all other opposition in the area. Virumsorgenfri set a standard for the other teams to chase after. Added to this Virumsorgenfi have also beaten in training games BBK(1) year group 2000 5v3 and 8v3

(15 March and 21 December 2008, read "Referater BBK(1)" in the menu
,. Then it can be seen in perspective as a very very good away win to open the season with.
Is it because Virumsorgenfri this time round are weaker or because Bagsværd this time round are stronger? One thing I am quite sure about is that although Virumsorgenfri have started slower than us they are going to be a dominant force again growing in strength every game. Carstens other son "My Oliver’s opposite number and new rival" shows all the skill of his older brother. Virumsorgenfris playing style is the same as the old team of 96, not relying on big physical players but rather on good ball playing technicians. They also have a wing player who reminds me of another Virum star Emil Holt. Added to this Virum have not one but two division 1 teams (
In different groups - This year there are many more teams playing 7 mends football and there are now 5 groups in division 1 as opposed to 3 groups in division 1 as in the autumn of 2008.)
This year many "new" teams will be on show and I am very sure you can add Virumsorgenfri to the growing list of very good teams.
With the knowledge I have and experience of playing some of these teams I would rank in order of best på Sjælland "At this moment in time"
Espergærde - Greve - Vallensbæk - Bagsværd -Gladsaxe Hero - Snekkersten  -Virumsorgenfri- . There will also be more newcomers this season and some who will fall down. Another interesting team is Jyllinge who have elected to play under another smaller league system the DGI. Other intresting teams from the KBU bold Union are B1903 and KB
  1st Half:
In the first five minutes Bagsværd did,t touch the ball as a typical Virumsorgenfri "Basse" team played the ball around quickly and precise. Finally we got a hold of the ball and 4 passes later we carved their defence open from left to right for Thomas J to net home 0 v 1 BBK(1)
Two minutes later and Frederik K scored from a self created chance and shot to give us a surprising 0 v 2 BBK(1) lead. Frederik played his best game since Sept 28-2008 against RB1906.
True to form and with good build up play Virumsorgenfri replied with a distance shot that beat Simon in the long corner 15 minutes later.
1 v 2 BBK(1) (It could and should have been blocked by the defence)
Virumsorgenfri smelt blood and more indecisive BBK(1) clearences and Virumsorgenfri again found themselves in front of our goal unopposed to equalize.

2 v 2 Virum. Virumsorgenfri now had the momentum with them but against the play we sneaked one in with substitute Asger goal poaching in the 6 metre box 2 v 3 BBK(1). Two minutes before half time and Bagsværd restored their two goal lead with a really good build up from Thomas J to Oliver and over to Frederik on the left side to net home again (without hesitation ) with a well struck left foot shot 2 v 4 BBK(1).
2nd Half:

With more good possession football Virumsorgenfri bounced back after the break with another goal 3 v 4 BBK(1). Shortly after and we again had a two goal  lead with a Thomas Joe strike. 3 v 5 BBK(1). This goal must have knocked the wind out of Virumsorgenfri and now the game heaved backwards and forwards with Virumsorgenfri best chances now coming from long shots, although another goal for Virumsorgenfri was not impossible we also had good counter attack possibilities. From one of these we surprisingly had a penalty awarded which Oliver A as Captain slotted home to kill of any last Virumsorgenfri resistence. 3 v 6 BBK(1) result
Today was a game where the teams load bearers (although still having very good games) where matched by players who normally swing in and out of humour. One of those players Magnus played above himself today with  good defensive and wing play, but the best was that he used his body better in tackling. There were no mistakes that cost us a goal and he also saved the situation several times. Magnus,s  problem is now that I know he can play like this, I expect to see the same every game. Man of the match Magnus
Mads also played his usual energetic game and Simon also cleaned up effectively.
Goals:      Frederik    2
               Thomas J   2

Very well done boys !
                                    Mvh Steven
Sometimes when a team looses they blame the referee and it sounds like they are bad loosers,. Today we won but i was dissapointed to hear from nearly all our boys that the referee made comments (negative) all the time about details of our boys play, whilst encouraging and directing his own team. Some of our parent group also were directing play from behind the goal and the referee should have removed them.
Some of my own parent group need to remember also that our team don,t need another trainer they have one already and they can always try their talents with a team who don,t have one. Thankyou !It can only lead to conflikt.

    BBK(1) 1 v 2 Jyllinge
If BBK(1) were tired after their epic final in the Chevrolet Cup the day before, then they did,t show it. Jyllinge were one of the better organised and diciplined sides we have met. Both teams were very evenly matched and it was a pleasure to see with many good details from both teams. Jyllinge play under another football leauge than us, the increasingly populear DGI which covers all Denmark as opposed to the SBU which only covers Sjælland. We fell behind to a good counter attack but worked hard to pull back a well deserved equaliser late in the game. A rocket shot from 25 metres caught Simon of his line to steal a win over Bagsværd in the dying seconds. It was a very good game.
Man of the Match  Simon

    BBK(1) 2 v 0 Skovlunde
Skovlunde keep trying but they can not beat BBK(1). The two 2nd team players with us today Andreas W and William B both had a good game against Skovlunde and helped to continue our domination as if we didn,t miss Emil or Frederik from the 1st team. We beat them by the same 2 goal margin as we also done4 weeks ago. It appeared as if they showed us to much respect after their 7 v 2 defeat only 1 week ago,. Skovlunde were for the largest part packed into their own half of the pitch and i can,t remember them attacking ?
Next time i think i will use this event to try even more 2nd team players.
It was just such a game for the 2nd team players to be a part of, and helps us to give a broader depth to the " troop " generally.
Man of the Match   Mads

   BBK(1) 1 v 1 Ølstykke
Ølstykke are another team who we have met and defeated a few times this year. They have more strengh and quality than Skovlunde but the score line was anyway very kind to them. My experimenting with positions allowed Ølstykke a chance which they took to lead 0 v 1. After some more re-organising of our team and a more seriouse attitude, we created at least 8/9 clear goal chances and finaly equalised 1 v 1. Memories of the final the day before and the series of terribly wasted chances that cost us the Chevrolet Cup and this games miss hits,
and suddenly i seen red !
Our team plays such good football that the standard of finishing has to match
our possesion and chances. Even a trainings tournement such as this requires our best disciplin and attention.

A little appetif befor the Final

22 Marts 2009      Trænings kamp:
                 BBK(1) 7 v 2 Skovl unde
Continuing our good preparation for the Chevrolet Cup final next week, we again quickly fell in to a good rhythm. It was a pleasant change that some team challenged us and replaced Værløse who for the second time have pulled out.
Skovlunde after a 2 - 0 defeat to us in their in doors tournament 2 weeks ago must have thought they could correct that result today. It was brave of them to measure themselves against us.
It’s fair to say that they were big boys, but our little terriers showed more fight and lasted longer.(We also found each other very well today).
1st Third : The game was played in 3 parts with Skovlunde giving their best in the first 20 minutes with a well played competitive duel. The 1 v 0 victory with a late goal by Oliver was over the 20 minutes deserved with a shot at goal ratio of 3 to 1 in our favour. A splendid Skovlunde goal keeper " Frederik " kept Skovlundes hopes alive.
2nd Third : We now had the advantage of a good breeze and this proved to be a struggle for Skovlunde. Combined with a Bagværd team pressing and hunting the ball down it is surprising the score was not much more than 3 v1 to Bagsværd.
We made some small mistakes in-between otherwise we showed a very good work rate and some very good combinations as our players really learn to know each other. I can’t remember the scoring sequence but
Thomas J and Thomas C notched up a few more goals between them.
3rd Third:
Skovlunde rallied again a little with the breeze in their backs, but despite a few solo efforts by Skovlunde, Bagsværds ever increasingly stabile defence dealt with Skovlundes attacks relatively easy. Magnus played well again as did  Frederik and the rest of the team. We beat Skovlunde convincingly again 3 v 1 with more goals from Thomas J and Oliver. Emil  was also effective coming from defence and bursting forward to help the Midfield when they go on the attack.
A very satisfactory display and no injuries... well did boys.

Nivå-Kokkerdal get a lesson on how to play football !
 15 Marts : Træning Kamp 2009

BBK(1) 12 v 3 Nivå-Kokkerdal

Nivå-Kokkerdal have had an unlucky week, ending a very good run of wins, which in the last week has seen them loose a place in the B-group final of the Chevrolet Cup to GVI on goal difference and today face a heavy defeat by the A-group finalists Bagsværd BBK(1).

I expected more from them if one looked at their form, something I always do before selecting an opponent.

Our focus area was to avoid a lazy sleepy start and to get that all important tackle in from the start which can set the tone or mood for the rest of the game. Emil after 10 seconds made a first class crunching tackle and we had our good start.

Credit to Nivå-Kokkerdale who came to play a passing game from the goalkeeper out to the backs and up to midfield, which is what we do, more or less , but we simply are much more polished and better at it than our opponents were today.

We quickly came in front and dominated almost from the start, winning all the 50/50 duels. We dribbled passed and moved for each other constantly. We covered for each other constantly, taking any threat out of the oppositions play calmly in our defence.

However in the last 10 minutes we missed our concentration and discipline in defence as we stormed forward and every one wanted to score. More out of luck we were not punished for it. For the rest of the game the defence was totally in control and some very good examples of team work could be seen.

It was good for the boys to get a few goals as a prelude to the Final on the 28 Marts, but we can,t say that our opposition give us any thing to speculate about, but it was a good exercise  for our movement and creativity.

We were a class above our opposition .

Our generous stand i goal keeper Frederik thought the opposition deserved a break now and then, and done what he could to ease their suffering by helping them a little bit ! Twice. He is such a fine gentleman !
The best detail of the game came from Nivå-Kokkerdales frustrated striker, who took things into his own hands dribbling 5 players through the centre of the pitch rounding of with a well placed shot and Goal.

Træning kamp... 8 Marts BBK(1) 3 v 6 B1903
8 Marts   Training game:

                        BBK(1) 3 v 6 B1903
One year ago we lost another training game by the same margin to a very pysically strong B1903. Since then they have established themselves as a very good side. The only game they have lost in the winter period was in the Champions league for kids to Greve who are Sjællands mester. B1903 are one of those teams who we normally would not meet as they play under the "København" leauge where upon we come under the "Sjælland" league.
With the Cup Final for us on the 28th March, this hard opponent was seen by me as ideal preperation for what will surely be a hard Final against Sjællands 2nd best team Espergæde. Normally we can out play these big physical teams  if the conditions are good. Unfortunatly our pitch was nearly under water, eliminating any chance for fine football and we were up against a team of giants, a physical game was the last thing we needed after a weekend were we have trained for two hours on Friday and again 2 hrs on Saturday. At one point i was seconds away from cancelling the game at the 11th hour.
The conditions were cold wet and miserable, it would be difficult for all the boys to concentrate on the task in front of us.
Two long shots at our goal in the first ten minutes and we were already 2 goals down. By half time we were 0 v 3 goals down after B1903 scored unchallenged from a throw in and header. Our lack of concentration and work rate was matched by our lack of willingness to shoot at goal when we had chances at the other end, only 1 in the first half.
2nd Half:
I don,t like to do it but, i felt it was necessary to give them a hard talking to! a team thrives on its pride and fears of a good beating by B1903 would be the worst possible preperation to a Cup Final.
From somewhere they found new hiden reserves of energy. It was nothing less than impresive to witness the transformation. From 0 v 3 , Emil scored early in the second half 1 v 3, after more play and shots at B1903s goal Oliver shot home from 20 metres 2 v 3. We now seemed to have full control of the game, however sloppy marking from a B1903 corner allowed them to score again unchallenged with another headed goal 2 v 4 B1903.
Thomas C run dribbled and shot shortly after to pull it back to 3 v 4. The ball was now constantly in B1903,s half of the pitch,. An equalizer seemed imminent and a possible match winníng goal was not impossible to forsee. The game was a complete reversel of the first half. However two quick counter attacks and good finishing in the last minutes of the game give B1903 a generous scoreline, to reflect on  as we pushed forward a little bit irresponsibly.
The boys lost the first half but regained their momentum to win the second.
It,s Ok to lose these training games , as long as we learn about ouselves. One thing we do not lack is courage and hidden reserves of will power.

Although Thomas J turned up for the game, his mother decided Thomas J was not fit to play and took him home again, I,m sure he would have tipped the balance. Let us hope that he is prepared and ready and available for the next preperation game for the Final. It was however a test of our strengh with Theis also unavailable i defence.
It was a difficult game to put Andreas W into who done well under difficult circumstances.
Well done all those who were there and thank you for your participation over this long week end.

         BBK(1) 2 v 0 Tårstrup
We came good from the first whistle and quickly began to overtake control after the initial 5/6 minutes opening play. We spread the ball around creatively and created several good attacks, Dicipline and structure in our play was quickly falling in to place, any signs of Tårstrup venturing into our half of the pitch were quickly snuffed out. Asger after a delayed reaction slotted the ball home long in to the game which seemed at one point might end as a disappointing draw 1 v 0 BBK(1). Shortly after a forced error, after an intensive period of pressure and Tåstrup netted in to their own goal. 2 v 0 BBK(1).

         BBK(1) 2 v 0 Skovlunde.
Playing in our new "German" whites, we again methodically dissected our next opposition, who earlier this winter have given us some good training matches. The pattern of the game was similar to the last game, with us dominating for a large period after an initial 50/50 opening play in the first 5/6 minutes. Asger again was on the mark and today scored again for  1 v 0 lead  BBK(1). Thomas C sealed a convincing win with a quick reaction headed goal after shot at goal fumbled by the Skovlunde goal keeper.
Emil   Man Of the Match

         BBK(1) 1 v 0 Ølstykke.
The opening of this game followed the pattern of the previous two games with a gradual dominance by BBK(1) that not surprisingly, lead to an opening goal by debutant Andreas W, who through out the tournament has played a sensible game and with a bit more aggression could be a potential 1st team player. 1 v 0 BBK(1) Resultat
Our hard working midfield now began to feel it in the legs after two games today and a hard fought Chevrolet Cup game the day before against Karlslunde. Ølstykke began to come strongly back into the game in the last 7/8 minutes and we were pegged back in to our half of the pitch, by a physically strong Ølstykke who we know well from the hard fought battles against them in the Chevrolet Cup. We however withstood their attempts and for the 3rd time already this year have overcome them.
Simon our goalkeeper who had a quiet first two games showed us in the last 10 minutes how important it is to have a good goalkeeper on guard at all times.

16 Jan          Trænings kamp
                                          GVI (1) 2 v 4 BBK (2)

After our last trainings game, i promised to change our team tactics, so that we tighten up in defence, even if it means our goal total is not so high. The sensible result reflected, what i hoped it might be, although the various midfield combinations, had difficulty in adjusting to having one player less to work with. This game was played in 3 x 20 minute periods, with a 5 minute break to change goalkeepers etc etc....
Although we had many misunderstandings with our new system and we were not as good as we can be in movement and passing we never really looked like we would loose this game against a relative good side, who have had a deal of success in the latest time,.There fore we can say it has been a success and can only be better.
Many players played in positions that were a little strange for them, with Simon (Our goalkeeper) playing as sweeper. Magnus in midfield and Frederik on the right of midfield, Emil and Asger had a turn each in goal.
Even though GVI won the 1st game 1 v 0 our boys were still in the game and were not over run even though our own play never really come into a sensible rhythm.
The second part of the game seen debutant Thomas C make a lively impact on the left of midfield and worked well with Mads and Oliver and later with Thomas J.We started now to press GVI back and equalised and then went in the front to lead 1 v 2. We won the second part of the game 0 v 2.
The 3rd part of the game and the experimenting was over. With Simon in goal and Magnus and and Mads in defence with Emil standing solid as the new sweeper, Thomas C , Oliver and Thomas J across the middle, and now we controlled most of this period. We took a comfortable 2 goal lead before
GVI got a consolation goal, scrambled in over the goal line even though Simon (goalkeeper) claims he had it in his hands.
A satisfactory game with some interesting developments and new dynamics developing in our small but strong troop.
Two players share honour as man of the match: Mads TL and Thomas C

Dec 21         Trænings kamp.
                             BBK (1) 3 v 8 Virumsorgenfri
Normaly i don,t write to much about training games because they are used most often to try something new. However my forcast last week that we are one of the best five teams on Sjælland was in hindsight maybe a little bit optomistic.
With a relatively strong side ourselves (except for our absent 1st goalkeeper) we met a well organised good playing team, who helped expose or highlight a problem that has been clear to me for some time. In that respect this game was of use to us.
Our problem is that normaly we score so many goals that it hides the fact that we also concede a lot of goals. We are not boring to watch there is always something happening at one end of the field or the other. Tonight we didn,t hit the target much although we created enough chances to at least draw the game, in return our opposition did,nt miss.
  In the last 3 games BBK(1) 9 v 6 Ølstykke

Gladsaxe  6 v 5 BBK(1)
                  Virumsorgenfri  8 v 3 BBK(1)
If my maths is correct that is 17 goals for and 20 against ! in the last 3 games.
It happens very often in childrens football with many goals scored and a 0 v 0 draw is nearly unheard of, however this is a crazy statistic to have for what should be the highest level in our age group. If we don,t reorganise our tactical side we will have a very frustrating spring 2009 and winter tournement.
I will therfore reorganise our team tactics to suite the players strenghs.
I expect that the 2nd half of our winter training will see a reduction in goals against in relation to goals for, we need to tip the balance the other way, and tighten up in defence in relation to our midfield strengh.
I will therfore add to the middle of defence as a sweeper one of our stronger midfield players, allowing the backs to be alternatively more offensive in support of the 3 remaining midfielders. In a situation were we are behind with 15 minutes remaining , then the sweeper will be moved up as an attacker with the two backs remaining in defence (as now).
It is a system i used with sucess with my year group 96, I adopted our present tactics from AB 96 who had even more sucess than we had, but now i will return to that i know works. The advantage is that adjustments to our playing style are not complicated for the boys to understand from that they do now... and should make being a defender more intresting with a little bit more freedom to move forward in support of the midfield.
To use the team in this way should mean fewer goals against, although it will probably mean fewer goals for .... i will be happy if we win 2v1 or 3v2 instead of to lose 5v6. The boys in defence are still in the process of learning and for large parts of the game do quite well, but concentration and dumb mistakes have cost us more than they should have. As can be seen in the 3 x 20 minute games the longer the game is the less concentration and more mistakes we make.
1st third  1 v 1 , 2nd third we lost 2 v 0 and the 3rd third of the game with the temperature and concentration levels dropping we lost 5 v 2.
Against Gladsaxe we also lost the game in the last 10 minutes , with a lack of concentration.
Team: Emil/William (målmand) - Mads - Asger -Mathias-Oliver-Frederik-Theis-Thomas..... Simon/Magnus (afbud)
It will all come right when it counts !
Mery X-mass and a happy new year.

Greve Årgang 2000 Sjællands Mester
Un-Official "Sjælland Championship" Year group 2000
Gladsaxe
Hero  2 v 4   Espergærde
Espergærde      3 v 3   Greve

Greve                9 v 0   Gladsaxe Hero

We came second to Gladsaxe Hero, otherwise it would have been us playing for the Sjælland "Championship" today. However the best from our group proved to be no match for the other group winners. Firstly Espergærde inflicted convincingly Gladsaxes first defeat this season with a comfortable 4 - 2 win.
Espergærde then drew in a very tight game with Greve , equalising in the last seconds of the game 3 - 3.
Both teams are very well balanced and played some really nice passing and dribbling football.
Now Greve would inflict an incredible 9 - 0 defeat on a shell shocked Gladsaxe who had not recovered from their first defeat, despite having 8 men on the pitch for the largest part of the game, a sad end for Gladsaxes otherwise excellent season.
Our passing style is much more like Greves and Espergærds and i have made an agreement to play a trainings game against both teams, (no fast date yet).

5th Okt      Final -2008   DANSKE BANK CUP2008
         Gladsaxe Hero 1 v 0 Bagsværd

Gladsaxe hero are proving themselves to be a pain in our backside !
They beat us to first place in the SBU Division 1 7a-side League and today stole the 5a-side Danske Bank Cup from under our noses with a 1v0 victory. It was however a great day for all the boys ours and theirs and the defeat was quickly forgotten with the presentation of an over sized trophy to each boy also for us as runners up.
The event was televised by Viasaet sport in front of 1000 supporters (not the Final  its self, but AB v Roskide ). Bagsværd lead Roskilde out to a 2 v 0 defeat by AB lead out by Gladsaxe Hero. There were free hot dogs and lemonade, and a select ball to each boy, who should have kicked the balls in to the crowd.(some of them only reached as far as myself)., We could of course see the game free,as could the friends and family connected to each team.
Kharim nr 8 for Gladsaxe Hero came back to haunt us as he did in the League, scoring late in the game after we had locked them (and Kharim) out and minimised their chances to less than 1 hand full for most of the game. We created the most and best chances and showed the crowd that their was not any difference in quality between the two teams , only a difference in luck.
Kharim was again voted Man of the match. (For his goal - he is a match winner, even though for a large part of the game we had good control over him.) Gladsaxe are clearly however more than a one man show and generally have earned there success. Congratulations to them on a splendid season.
Both goalkeepers played well, Gladsaxes goalkeeper for stopping some good shots at goal and Simon Friis-Jensen (Bagsværd) for being quick of his line to stop any danger before it could happen.
Last and not least a huge thank you to the sponsor Danske Bank for showing a positiv intrest in our community,s children and sport, and bringing together the best of our talent, and also a thank you to AB for an excellent sportsly event.

                     BBK(1) 4 v 4 Frederiksund

Thursday 2nd oktober    Række 1 Pulje 2   årgang 2000 autumn

Even Napoleon had one bad day ( Waterloo 1815). In the cold light of day and away from the intensity of the gladiator’s arena, it is quite clear to understand why we totally failed to function as a team in the first half, and to understand why we fought like samurai warriors in the second half to save the game.

Against my own advice “Trainer tips” in the menu of www.footballcrazy.dk   , I ignored my own “Golden rule” of keeping instruction short and precise, simply because children’s attention span is not so good at this age.

I am guilty of filling their heads with too much detail before the game about what could happen here or there if this or that should or should not happen in this deciding game! No surprise they where shell shocked and 0 v 3 down at half time, with all that serious “Rubbish” talk from me.

The 2nd half, and my simplified and only instruction was to play the ball to each other and not to the opposition, and the rest will fall into place. After 5 minutes into the 2nd half and a nervous start  we grew more in confidence and after 5 passes in a row for the first time in the game we scored one, two , three and then 4 goals. We dominated and won a draw in the 2nd half from a game that seemed lost in the 1st half.

I also lost control of my disposition of players and at one point having 3 mid-midfielders with no wingers. (The extra man – 8 players, on the field creates as many problems as it solves, no wonder several top teams decide not to use this new rule- including us from now on. If we can, not do it with seven players it’s because we are not good enough)

If we finish 2nd or 3rd after Gladsaxe Heros game against RB1906 I is now irrelevant, our boys have been fantastic in this the opening tournament of 7a-side football in Division 1(Række 1).

We dared to take the challenge up where other good teams, have surely started more carefully in the lower divisions. What awaits us in the spring 2009 should be very challenging. The boys have come a long way in a short time and grown much mentally and physically.

Now we can take the foot of the gas after one more little matter we need to address! SBU Division 1 group 2

League ChampionsGladsaxeHero v SBU Division 1group 2 League runners up Bagsværd in the DanskBank Cup October 5th – kick off 13:30 come and support us! (Revenge is not a word we should use …..But there is always a time to play cards with the devil).

I would like to thank Frederiksund for a memorable game with real intensity and fair play. They proved they are also a very good team! We shall meet them again in the Chevrolet Cup winter tournament.

Last and not least Congratulations to Gladsaxe 1st and 2nd team SBU LeagueChampions.Autumn 2008.

What an opening season Bagsværd, well done everyone, have a very good autumn holiday and come back fresh and ready.

Yours sincerely Steven (A very proud trainer)

  23 Sept-08        RB  1906-  3 v 6  BBK(1)
                                       Række 1 pulje 2  Efterår 2008

The season is reaching boiling point, four teams have tracked each other step for step at the top whilst four teams at the bottom equally have their private battle.

After Fridays  game on 26/9/08 between Gladsaxe Hero v Frederiksund there could be 4 teams on 15 points with one round left for each team, if Frederiksund beat Gladsaxe Hero (The only unbeaten side to date).

After this evenings game when Bagsværd beat unbeaten RB1906, we showed Frederiksund there is everything to play for against Gladsaxe Hero. Even should Gladsaxe Hero win over Frederiksund it becomes a three horse race to the line, with Gladsaxe Hero, s marginal goal difference possibly the decider between Gladsaxe, Bagsværd and RB1906, (should RB1906 bounce back and beat Gladsaxe Hero).
Complicated? Yes! It is, we could end up 1st or 4th on the

difference of a single goal at the right or wrong time. So fine are the details, that two scandalous decisions by RB1906 generos referee could decide it against us with goal difference deficit. RB1906 were awarded a penalty from 1.5 metres outside the box and a free kick on the very edge of our box from a tackle were no physical contact took place. It must be said that a sequence of refereeing mistakes in RB1906,s favour actually started with a single decision in our favour at the start of the game, but the referee more than made up for his generosity to us.

The boys where fantastic- even though on paper we where not at full strength. Our reorganised defence cut top side RB1906, s chances to an absolute minimum throughout the game. (Very much our focus area after the shambles in defence against Gladsaxe. where we give the game away).

Mads TL in his new role with Theis in defence as two quick backs, made some match winning tackles to keep RB1906 at a good distance from our goal.

Frederik Kaarda , for the second week in a row improved his game, and used Thomas Joes absence to stake a faster claim to the left wing, with a very good hatrick, and a barrage of very good crosses.

In our goal Simon F-J also showed good reflexes and the right attitude when it was necessary- even saving the unjustified penalty (first time)

An all round fantastic bounce back by our boys from the negative defence display last week.

Goals: Frederick Kaarda – hat trick – 3

             Oliver Angus                         - 2

Man of the match Mads T Lindstøm . (Mads,s twin Mathias)also played a good part- on loan from the 2nd team.) We have another battle on our hands soon against Frederiksund, but we know now we can’t afford to think of home advantage, it doesn’t mean a thing specially after 3 long trips to Roskilde and Holbæk where we have taken all 9 points. Well done boys !

                              BBK(1) 3 v 6 GladsaxeHero

Række 1 pulje 2 Autumn 2008
This game was our first local rival decider that potentially could have been a classic encounter. Our boys and theirs give everything they could but the football was any thing but classic.
Even though we made several defence errors of the same type and give away 4 goals and we played well under our best i still think we created the most chances and played the best football.
However the various and different combinations of boys used in defence at different times throughout the game had a terrible time of finding out about marking an attacker who's only job was to goal hang in front of our goalkeeper. (In 11a-side football 4 of their goals would have been annulled) Unfortunately this tactic was very effective against us and on the evening we had no answer for it. (personally i prefer not to play this way because in the long run it is teaching the children the wrong thing and learning to play on-side will be so much more difficult for them in the future.)
We can not however take away to Gladsaxes credit them getting back in defence behind the ball and getting their important tackles in, and there fore preventing more accuracy with our many shots on goal.
It was a very frustrating game where we needed to be like a fine tuned engine firing on all cylinders and instead a combination misunderstandings and some disappointing under performances from some individuals (no names mentioned) who were disappointing on the day ,meant that we couldn,t get out of 2nd gear. The opposite could be said of Gladsaxesnumber 8 in midfield whose solo run and superb finish knocked the wind out of our sails after we came back from 1-3 down to equalize 3-3 only to see them take the lead again to 4-3 just as we were enjoying our strongest period. He also set up three other goals dribbling and passing to their goal scrounger. Better in defence was our marking from 3/4 hard low corners into the box. Once i moved Emil out of defence he went on to deserve from midfield Man of the match along with Frederik.
The number 8 for Gladsaxe deserves a special mention for giving his team the big lift they get from his presence.
Goals:Frederik Kaarde 1
             Oliver Angus        2
We are not out of it and the season probably will not be decided until the last game, especially if we beat RB1906 and Gladsaxe drop points, which should be possible:
This evening had nothing to do with Gladsaxe playing better football than us, but had more to do with we disappointed ourselves. No more missed training sessions! boys.(Its a bad habit creeping in, if we are to maintain the good standard we have set ourselves). It is obvious to see when i check back on the last 5 months e-mails their are some key players who regularly hop over every 3rd or 4th training,. The parents responsible have to ask is it acceptable if we are to compete at this high level ,. The competition in 2009 in "række 1" division 1 will have double as many good teams as this time. Today was our first real test at this level, and the margin between success and failure is the difference of 1 or 2 players under performing.

14 Sept    DANSK BANK CUP   2008 5a-side Gladsaxe stadion.
 Hareskov 1 v 6  BBK(1).

Another fun day where we played our way comfortably to the Final to be played in October. Hareskov have some good boys, one or two of which i could quickly train up to be strong second team players or even first team candidates for us! However our team work and combinations were simply too much for Hareskov and it ended in an easy victory.BBK(1) make mistakes and are far from perfect , but its clear to see why we win many games more than we loose. In the league and in the Cup Final we have two crunch games coming up that will really test how good we are against another local team "GladsaxeHero" who are shadowing our success step for step with their own success... I would concede the Cup if it meant  we won the league, otherwise we will just have to take both.
GH Played and beat Torvparken 5 v 0., On the next pitch.
Goals: Oliver 1- Thomas 1- Emil 1- Mads 1 (Plus 2 own goals-Hareskov).
Some of the small crowd where very enthusiastic over our play and clearly impressed, well done boys.! Man of the match Emil.

Holbæk 1 v 5 BBK(1)
                       Række 1 pulje 2 Autumn 2008
After a long journey of 60 kilometers to meet an opposition who appeared on the statistics of earlier results to be unlucky and tough to beat, i am happy to say it was not a wasted journey and we again come home with all 3 points.
We started very well and very early in the game dominated Holbæk, but the ball after 15 minutes and 7/8 good attempts on goal would simply not go in the net. Then Holbæk from their only attack and a BBK(1) defence mistake stole the lead 1 v 0. Holbæk. Holbæk  shortly after could have ruined our evening and our season with two other attacks that come from again sloppy defence errors. The midfield was however on top form and shortly after we equalised with a shot up in the top corner from Thomas Joe 1 v 1. BBK(1)
That settled our nerves ( not least my own). Shortly after we took the lead 1 v 2 BBK(1) and removed any hope Holbæk had of winning this game. BBK(1) controlled the rest of the game , and although we had to earn each goal we left Holbæk further behind with each goal. Oliver Angus with a solo run in the last minute give us our important 5th goal that put us back on the top of our league on the thinnest of margins over Gladsaxe hero, with the most goals scored. Don,t miss this absolute crunch game in division 1 (række 1),BBK(1) v Gladsaxe Hero. If it lives up to expectations it should be a classic encounter between the regions two best teams in our year 2000 group. To add spice , we will probably meet each other in the Dansk bank Cup also. We have three very tough games ahead and everything to play for.
Man of the match : Sigurd. Because until he came on the pitch in defence we seemed unstable and he helped to put balance  back and stability.
Goals: Thomas Joe 2- Oliver Angus 2 - Emil Kristansen-1

                      BBK(1) 7 v 4 Vipperød BK
                              Række 1 pulje 2  Autumn 2008
The third round for BBK(1) was a nervous tense affair against a good ball playing Vipperød side, who surprisingly have no points on the score board. Four teams now have 9 points whilst four teams have none, this strange statistic does not reflect that there is very little difference between all the teams in quality just a matter of luck or lack of it. After another slow start we needed to claw our way back into this game, but each time i thought we were starting to dominate Vipperød popped up to score again to keep the tension hanging, we could not afford to slip up today as the other three teams with nine points all won this week, With a three goal win we secure first place on goal difference over the other leaders in the group, now these "easy games ?" are out of the way soon there will come a series of crunch games, were something has to give. Today we successfully put pressure back on to the other teams. The boys today fought well and needed to, there was not any one who didn't make mistakes today but the player who made the least was Oliver Angus to earn Man of the match.
Goals : Oliver 2 - Thomas 2- Mads 2- Sigurd 1.

 25 Aug.
KFUM 3 v 9 BBK(1)      Række 1 Pulje 2   Autumn 2008

Our second game in the first division was an exercise in self discipline. To maintain our organisation and to prevent everyone rushing forward to get on the score sheet. Leading 1 v 4 at half time, I was not disappointed it took a further 15 minutes of the second half to score again.

Although KFUM never give up the fight and scored twice to make a mini revival possible, we contra played and scored another 5 goals.

We were good to pull back and maintain our defence and midfield dominance, important lessons for when we come up against better ball playing sides.

The midfield and right wing play continued were we left of last week against Viby. We discussed about moving the ball more over to the left side, and the boys listened, as our left wing also become more operative and effective.

In this autumn period I expect there will be many miss matches, in Divisions 1, 2, 3, and 4 until the spring of 2009, when teams will better be able to judge the standard of each other in this new to 7a-side football.

Goals: Emil SK-2, Frederick K-2, Oliver A-2, Mads TL-3 Hat trick. (Oliver claims Mads stole one of his goals on the line).

Man of the match: split between Theis HS and Magnus JH (Defence)

KFUM should not give up hope they have some good individual players, but two heavy 9v3 defeats must make them early relagation candidates. We sit however good at the top of the table . (goal diffrence).

Bagsværd 6  –  3  Viby  Række 1 pulje 2 efterår 2008

22.august kl.1700

  Kampens spiller: Simon .

Trainers comments:
A very hard fought fight where we showed great spirit to fight our way back into a game which could and should have been lost in the first half by a dominant Viby., Viby failed to finish us off because of an individual fantastic performance by our Goal keeper Simon. Creative hard work on our right wing by Thomas Joe helped to pin a tired Viby team back in to their own defence in the second half and an energetic Bagsværd midfield kept them there for a large part of the second half which most definitely had swung our way.
The score was complimentary to us and 6 - 3 could easily have been 3 - 6, but no one can deny that we deserved to get something from this game. We started poor and ended the strongest, 3 points in the bag! Thank you
our first official 7a-side SBU game in division 1- well done boys.
See you all on the training ground to discuss how we deck up better in our box

Dansk Bank Cup 2008 5-a-side (Gladsaxe Stadion)

AB 0 v 6 BBK(1)
The first competition for us after a long summer break, with only 2 intensive training sessions befor this prestige invitation from Dansk Bank to the  local clubs. AB, Bagsværd, and Hareskov in one group and Gladsaxe Hero, Torvparken and Bytoften in the other. The group winners play each other again in Gladsaxe stadion  October 5th.
Eight of our boys Simon, Sigurd, Emil, Thomas, Mads, Magnus,Theis and Captain Oliver won convincingly over AB, who have lost every encounter with us in the last year (5 times),. AB however had much more structure in their play than previose encounters and are on the right track. Our boys played well ,even though they are a little bit out of practice.
Gladsaxe Hero won also 6 v 0 over Bytoften in group 2.
Mads Tang Lindstrom called up to the first team ended as Man of thematch. (What a wise trainer you have).
A good day was had by all, even AB(senior) team who won 1 v 0 ,in the following Viaset Division game,. High point was the boys names and numbers called out to the clubs as they ran out on to the pitch in front of the many 1000,s of fans (100 to be accurate)

Juni 29         Dansk Bank Cup  2008   5 – a- side (grass)

8 x 4 teams – group play.  A-level.

Ganløse.

The standard throughout was the best we have seen this year, It was noticeable for the first time that many teams have clearly made huge progress. Teams were organised and there was structure in the play, some teams were impressive.

  B1903  1  v  2   BBK(1)

Good opening play by BBK(1) and good combination play opened B1903,s defence easily at the start of the game, to take an early 0 v 2 lead. After a good start I expected an easy win, but we made hard work out of it, and although we deserved to win, the result could easily have been 2 v 2 with thin cover in defence and an excellent save from Simon.

  Farum   1  v  1  BBK(1)

With my year of 1996 team, I have only experienced unusually large physical teams from Farum in the past, but today their small quick players proved too quick for our players in this year 2000 team. After BBK(1)s best play in this game we scored to lead 0 v 1. Farum after this were first to the ball every time and deserved to equalise at the end of the game, even though the goal came from a mistake by Jeppe (our own “fair” referee!). We played well under our normal standard and totally forgot our small triangular play. In panic we kicked the ball away from danger instead of playing the ball. Our first and best chance to go to the semi-final was now more difficult.

  Jægerborg 1 v 0  BBK(1)

After 5 minutes and 1 goal behind BBK(1) started to play football, and for the first time came in to Jægerborgs half of the pitch. The winner would go into the semi-final. Bagsværd woke up suddenly after their deep sleep from the Farum game to dominate the rest of this game very strongly. The damage was however already done,. An excellent Jægerborg goalkeeper, the bar and the post saved Jægerborg and sent them to the semi-final. No trophy this time.

White clouds and a blue sky, the sun shining and a light wind blowing added to the good atmosphere , that this is what is best about a danish summer,. 5 teams , Herlev If , AB , Virumsorgenfri, and host teamSkovlunde and of course Bagsværd ready to do battle. Two of our opposition Herlev and Skovlunde in our year group unknown to us. We soon found out that although they were good , we were better. The scores of 5-0 and 4-0 were a little bit complimentary to us although no one could deny that we where clearly the better organised team. We also made short work of Virumsorgenfri who credit to them where the only team to score against us today.4-1 Bagsværd . Again we outclassed AB with an all to easy 8-0 usual win. AB started this tournament well with 0-0 against Virumsorgenfri.
The referee for our games gave huge praise to our play, which was fully deserved, the five boys with out substitutes give everything today and were fantastic.
Simon (målmand/målscorer) - Thomas joe (3 dobbelt hatrick + 2) , Emil (målmand og forsvar) - Magnus (Forsvar og floj og 1 hatrick) - Oliver (1 hatrick +2, forsvar og midtbane spiller). BBK (1) have a very good Kern to build upon for 7 mands football.

Two other Bagsværd teams played in the "Pulje3" (level 3) tournements at Herlev and BSV ( Nærum) at the same time as we played at Ballerup "Pulje2"(level 2) tournement. I have no match report but understand at Herlev under team leader Jeppe that they drew twice, lost and won once-fine results, whilst the BSV(nærum) team also had a good day out with two lost , one drawn and one game won 5-0 under Christian Herstal(team leader).. all results were very close 2-1,1-2 ect

            Værløse v Bagsværd  1x7 mends
As head trainer i have used a great deal of time and effort not to just train the teams ,but to organise games for match experience, therefor i am disappointed in the negative response of some of them who need the most help, to not even reply that they have cancelled this fixture from their calender.Very impolite and normally unfair on them who turn up with the correct attitude. The quickly recruited reserves , mostly reliable 1st team players saved the day from being a fiasco. However this strengthened BBK(2) side was still  narrowly beaten. Værløse(1&2) 6 v 4 BBK(2&1).

The domino effect of players being moved meant that the 3rd team was reasonably strong, full of players who should have played for BBK(2).
This give me a chance to study 4 players in detail, William Fenn , Andreas Faber,Andreas Wagner , and William B. They all made  small mistakes , but they also worked well together and showed me that they have listened to the trainer sometimes., They were clearly stronger than our opposition and won not less than 5 mini games to add to their new statistics tally. Very well done boys ! good show. In a support role in goal was Oliver A from the 1st team, and Theis to give the team backbone in defence. Man of the match William B  who scored a double hatrick. 8  Juni       GVI  v Bagsværd   3 x 5 mands kampe

After a very good pinser competition at GVI where we won gold and silver, we appeared as favourites today with games for our 1st 2nd and 3rd teams in a round of friendlies, and as expected (or hoped for) GVI would welcome a chance to have a go at us. I don't know all the results of all the mini games (which took various forms) but it appears we came out on top overall , with the exception that GVI(1) won over BBK(1) 5v2
Even this game could have been different and we burnt several good chances and give GVI a couple of free goals, BBK(2) with Jeppe as team leader won a game 0v9 and lost also 3v0 and 2v0. The last game ended  2v5 to Bagsværd, BBK(1&2)combined. BBK(1) also beat GVI(2) 1v4. The results of the 3rd team BBK(3) are unclear but i heard they also fought well.
Jalil and Nicolai didn't turn up so we could not start with four teams as originally agreed we had also 6 players who give notice they could not play today.
Man of the match: Simon Fris Jensen who played well in and out of goal.

29 Maj    AB  0  v  11  BBK(1)   1 x 7 mands 2x25 minuter.
After this match with AB we can conclude that AB(our big brother) are at least 1 year behind in their development as a functioning team and individually not as competent as our boys.
Only Virumsorgenfri and B1903, have given us something to think about and challenged us in the last year (and them defeats can we also excuse), Gladsaxe hero are maybe also close to us.We really need stronger opposition to push our borders. As the situation stands even our second team will do well. Hopefully success will breed success and we will draw the attention of local talent to us instead of the other way round. We need to develop a second team that can challenge the first team and so on with a third team, step for step progress. Man of the match was Emil , who has made huge progress in the short time with us.

   BBK(1)    5 v 0   A B

  BBK(1)    1  v  0   Virum sorge nfri.

21 Maj      B1903 (CHIP  3 v 0 BBK (1)     ... 1st havleg
                    B1903 (CHAP)  3 v 2 BBK (1)     ... 2nd havleg
As a surprise will B1903,s trainer  play with two teams against us in the same game. The first half we played B1903(Chip) and the second half against a new fresh team B1903(Chap).
B1903 (Chip)  3 v 0  BBK(1)
This game was very even in chances, the difference was that a very good B1903 goalkeeper took everything we could offer. Physically stronger than us , we played well enough to threaten them often and we could have played our way to a result in the second half but now dissapointingly  this game was over.We were 3 goals down but not out of the game.
B1903 (Chap)  3 v 2  BBK(1)
If the first B1903 team was phsically strong they where dwarfs in relation to this team (who retained their goalkeeper from the first team we played.)
The energetic physical first game softened our boys up, who quickly fell behind 3 goals in this new game, it seemed like a big defeat loomed. Our boys , a mixture of experience and raw new potential , supported by a few second team players rallied fantastic, against the odds to score 2 goals in an heroic fight back, and finished as the strongest team.
We beat them at GVI,s Pinser Cup 3 v 0 and we will beat them again , without the obviouse disadvantage today - Rematch!
Frederik and Oliver A scored , even though both players where under par after an overnight  trip to Knutenborg with their school. Theis however (also at Knutenborg) found a high energy level to finish as Man of the match
.

16 Maj  Hareskov (1) 4 v 9 Bagsværd (1) 1x7 mens
Bagsværds 1st team with help from some of the 2nd team, played a very good disciplined game, (as disciplined as one can expect from this age group) to keep a decent Hareskov team always one or two steps behind.
One can really see structure in our play, and our willingness to work for each other. Even an effective Hareskove attack force, could not break down a resolute Bagsværd team. In periods we played some of the best football i have seen us play. Even though all our players are a along way from reaching their full potential individually and as team , we are on the right path in both areas.
Another convincing victory with four different goalscorers.
Oliver A  5 goals - Thomas Joe2 goals - Emil K 1 goal - and last but not least Magnus with 1 goal.
This victory wipes out the miss match game between Bagsværd (3)  v  Hareskov (2) in the winter months.
Very few teams have won over Bagsværd (1)
(when we play to win)
Asger (Målmand) - Theis - Magnus - Emil - Mads - Mathias - Oliver A - Jalil - Thomas Joe.
Trainers comment: Steven
Preperation to 1st division football is going very well , but we need more games for the 2nd and possible 3rd teams. It is there where they learn most.
Man of the matchOliver A. (5 goals!)

GVI Pinsestævne    2008

Today Bagsværd  celebrated gold and silver in a tournament that we have a good tradition in. My earlier team from the year 96 have won silver twice and bronze twice in four years participation with a single 7 a side team each time. (They went on to become an “Elite” team)
Today could we play with two 5 a side teams. Both teams won their group. Team 1 without loosing went direct in to the final, whilst team 2 must wait on the result of another game (because they lost a single game). Team 2 qualified because they beat the team who had the same points total as them, even though our goal difference was not as good.

Now we stood opposite ourselves in the final with a sure gold and silver to our club.

I thought it was only fitting that the twins should be the captains of both teams. The problem of who I should stand for was easily solved when Max Bloms father Sander who had stood for team 1 throughout the competition should continue his good work. An excellent debut for him. Unfortunately Bagsværd,s team1suffered their first defeat today to Bagsværd,s team 2.  (Chip and Chap)

Hold 1 uden at tabe.

9  Maj   Opel Cup, AB        2008

English
A very tough tournament where the burning sun and the intensive tackling on very small pitches was the small  difference between the teams.’
Very little football was played today by any team. I think the organisers have forgotten all the boys have grown in the last year, especially when the games should be played with a size 4 and not a size 3 ball. The goalkeepers could kick the ball to each other all day long. The tournament ran otherwise smoothly. The difference today between top and bottom in the A and B group was minimal. Today 1 v 0 could easily have been 0 v 1, in many games. Only in their first game where B group beaten convincingly, before they woke up!   We are ready now for 7 a side football. Just when we thought it was all over and we had not won more than our obligatory medal , came Sigurds and Simons mother to the rescue , with two boxes full of glass tankards (meant for the either the bronze , silver or gold winners). (Ask no questions! hear no lies.) We can try our luck again at GVI,s Pinser Cup on Sunday

12 April   Bagsværd(1) 6 - 5  Gladsaxe(1) 1x7 men's (grass)
Now the boys are really getting into the swing of 7 men's football , a big wet heavy muddy pitch for a full hours football, with only one substitute. Against Bagsværd(1) was a very tough opposition. It didn't matter how much possession of the ball we had , when they had a chance they took it. We made mistakes in defence but we also fought like lions to keep them out.

Bagsværd(1) keeps on winning ,and any thing other than a victory today would have been unfair although Gladsaxe(1) also have much to be proud of in this fantastic battle.
Oliver Angus scored a hatrick whilst Mads Tang Langstrom fought hard for his two goals. To days revelation was Thomas Joe Ishøj Fagerhold , new to football he is a rough diamond that just needs polishing and deservedly
Man of the match. He also scored a goal.

12 April Bagsværd(2) 7 - 12 Gladsaxe(2)
Gladsaxe(2) where at the start of the game just as strong as Gladsaxe(1) who played on the next pitch against Bagsværd(1). Their trainer maybe thought that his troop
was
strong enough to win both games being split up evenly in strength.
After a convincing 0-9 lead after the first half of the game , Gladsaxes trainer quickly sent some of his stronger players over to Gladsaxe(1) who where having a much more difficult time against Bagsværd(1). This give some respite to our Bagsværd(2) team.Bagsværd(2) now also begun to score goals, 7 in fact. Gladsaxe(2) where now in a much more even game against Bagsværd(2). Because of the big difference in the first half of the game Gladsaxe very sportingly give two of their stronger players to Bagsværd as we had no substitutes , due to 5 players not being available.

29 Marts  Bagsværd(1) 7 v 2 HørsholmUsserød(1)  1x7 men
We again met another big club who have 3 times as many players to choose from than we do, but on the day their best could not match us.
Without our first choice goalkeeper our 2nd goalkeeper Nicolai RybergVikkelsø made some good saves from a Hørsholm team who created some good chances on counter attacks in the early part of the game ,and there for was nominated Man of the Match. An early lead however by Hørsholm was deservedly equalised by a Bagsværd team who were dominant through the rest of the game. We worked very good for each other even though in between we made several basic mistakes.(to be expected). Over all a very satisfactory display against another big name club.

By a very strange coincidence Olivers Angus,s older brother William was playing in an Elite tournement in another part of Denmark on the same day for AB , ironically they beat Hørsholm Usserød 6 v 1 in normal time, as Bagsværd also done against Hørsholm. Both Angus brothers scored the 4th goal in their respective games  (what odds would one get for that). Both games started at the same time , the only detail i don't have is which minute they both scored in.

15 Marts   Bagsværd(1)  3 v 5  VirumSorgenfri(1) 1 x 7 man
Virum Sorgenfri are exactly the type of club and opposition we need , you can be sure that their trainer Carsten Basse will create another fantastic team like his year 96 team, who have been Sjællands master and always played at elite level. We can compare direct Carstens best selection of over 60 boys to our selection out of 26 boys,.
On the day VirumSorgenfri were marginally better if you look only at the results:
Normal time result :   Bagsværd (1)  1 v  5  VirumSorgenfri (1)
Extra game               Bagsværd (1)   2 v 0   VirumSorgenfri (1)
Collective result    :  Bagsværd (1)   3 v 5
Virumsorgenfri (1)
Our boys as can be seen made a brave fight back to win the revenge game
This special way of playing a match is something we trainers agree before the game and the idea is to prevent 1 team going home with a large defeat.
The boys met good opposition today, I'm sure we can take them next time. It was only our first real attempt at 7 men's football, and very promising for the future.

7 Marts    Akademisk Boldklub   v   Bagsværd Boldklub
2x5 mans game  gravel pitch (grusbane)
Little brother Bagsværd have not lost to big brother AB this year in
3 mini tournaments , and this evenings big game ( a full hour played in the fresh air) as opposed to 4x7 minutes played every 30 minutes apart, was no exception.
Training twice weekly has started to show results on the pitch , we are better organised . Although it was clear AB have talent , there was not the same structure or discipline or ball control as we showed.

ould on the surface seem to have a very difficult double act to follow after Rebecca his big sister (who is an England International player) and William his older brother.(Who plays elite football for AB).
However Oliver shows all the exact skills and attitude of his brother and sister. (Three healthy children who just have it! how lucky can one man be!)
It seems Oliver is ahead of most of his counterparts (with some exceptions) in his age group. Oliver has though the advantage he has trained for nearly 2 years with his brother Williams team , and has even played a year 96 game in the 3 division against Greve.(An age group 4 years ahead of his own age group). When the referee agreed to his participation i regret-ed immediately i had not asked earlier in the season. (It was the last game of the season!).
   Midfield Power
Like his brother he prefers right side midfield , and like his brother and sister can smash the ball from long distance into the net and again like his brother and sister, Oliver has a great eye to play the others in and set them up. His ball control and tackling technic are also advanced.
Others in his year group are on the way to learn what he already can. His team mates seem to be a very good group with a lot of potential to be at least as good as Oliver is and to make a cracking good team that will go far.
Magnus, Frederik, Theis, Sigurd and goalkeeper Simon spring to mind first, but there are also others with potential. (Time will tell it's own story- watch this space)add to this list Thomas Joe. Olivers goal tally was 17 before these games.
